The village of Angten was very evidently a coastal village. Many of the houses were built of stone, dating prior to the War of the Usurper 7 years ago, which ravaged most of the Dragon Kingdom’s infrastructure. On it’s outer edge stood a square stone watchtower, built nearly 700 years ago during the Wyvern Menace. Despite it’s ancient roots, Angten was still brimming with life. Soldiers strolled up and down the streets; horses neighed and shuffled in the stables. Chatter of the villagers floated in the air as various sea vessels drift into port, and then sail away carrying bits and bobs to and from far away lands.
Scott wandered the streets aimlessly, looking for any hint of his mysterious letter’s origin. Am I missing something? He pondered. Did I misread the letter? All I have to go by is the signature, and even that is vague! Maybe I should have just stayed home…
A dog barked to his right. He stopped, realizing that he was standing adjacent to a bed of roses, on which a massive dog was sitting…
…Well, this should be interesting…
Brickshelf, with many more photos, when moderated. There's a lot more going on than just the Flickr main photo, so I strongly suggest checking out the Brickshelf if you get the chance.
The next installment of Scott's journey is here! He made it to the village of Angten without any problem, and appears to have found the messenger. Or at least, the messenger's dog. What does the messenger need of him? We'll find out soon enough, in the next installment!
C&C welcome.
