Forest Ambush Scene

Post by Purple Wolf »

So I've desided to make scenes/creation with the new castle set incorperated into it in celebration of ten years of Classic Castle.

So my first one is Forest Ambush (starting smallest to largest).

Great work incorporating the Forest Ambush set into a scene, it fits perfectly! The numerous trees capture the feeling of a forest well and I like the CMF baseplate border. The stream bank looks a little blocky on the left side where it's straight for 14 studs, I like the right side much better :)

Thanks. I must admit that I to like the CMF base. As for the stream bank your right the left side isn't as good as the right but he at lest the right side looks good. :)

Hey, this is really cool. A lot of neat little details. I like how you have the one crownie knight picking the apples, and that is an interesting technique with the dragon knight climbing the tree with crossbow. I will be following these scenes.

Do you plan on doing the Gold getaway next?

The tree design is nice, but do you put something through the middle of the pieces to stabilize them? Otherwise I would think those 1x1 rounds used to construct the trees would not hold up to playing.

Yes there is some sticks inside the trees but it really didn't matter seeing as it wasn't really made for play.

Very cool. The undergrowth and the trees look awesome.
