Fall Trees

Post by Karalora »

I've been a member on this site about 5 years, and this is the first MOC I've posted. It's not even Castle-specific, though you could include it in a Castle scene if you wanted.

My autumnal trees, using AltBricks leaves (and a Brickforge mushroom).

I've been gradually putting together various Halloween-themed builds to go along with the Monster Fighters haunted house. Maybe I'll post some of the others as well.

That maple tree is really sweet. I love the use of the tap you have in it. I wish there was a bucket of sorts underneath to catch all the Maple-y goodness coming out :D

There will be! I'm still waiting for a selection of buckets to arrive from Bricklink (both for the tree and for my trick-or-treaters).

Nice. Even then, if you are pressed to use a bucket, a barrel would even be a viable option I think. The small ones or the large ones would work just fine too, IMO.

I remember living on the East Coast and getting some of that....ohhh, that stuff is better than anything...

Your trees are quite inspiring, the different colored leaves really makes the day. Nice Work!

They look nice. My favorite is the birch as well. I particularly like that some of the leaves are at different angles.

Thanks for all the compliments, guys!

About setting leaves at angles--I just don't think they look right all laid flat like shelves. Maybe if you were making a baobab or something... I've been experimenting with various types of hinges and specialty pieces in order to create different-angled surfaces to attach leaves to.
