Re: You might want to check...

Post by Bluesecrets »

EDIT*** BTW, Blue if we are taking this off-topic by mentioning other store specific sales, please let me know! I figured it may just be as well to post store-specific sales in this thread, rather than make a new one every few days or so. If this, however, is off-topic, I will gladly stop posting finds and sales for other CC'ers to find for their collection
You are fine with this. I think it is better to keep it to one thread instead of making multiple ones every single time we find a sale and want to share the info. Maybe I should change the title of this thread to something like "Check here for current sales we are finding." Just so it can be the "go to thread" and be named something more useful. I will work on it and change it later.

Thanks for the prompt reply blue.

Also, for those who have never shopped yoyo.com, here is a referral code for their website (they are a legitimate website, an offbrand of Amazon I think).

If you create a new account, this code gives you 20% off you entire purchase!
However, you cannot use this code if you have had any yoyo product shipped to your home before (even if you make a new account).

The code is:
BRTN4441

If you use it on something that is already on sale, you can get a pretty nice deal.

Example:
Lord of the Rings Pirate Ship is already on sale for $93.99.
-20% off the sale price would allow you to net it for around $75.20. This is not a bad deal at all.
-Helm's Deep which is around $122.xx could be purchased for around $98.xx.
-The full price King's Castle for the 2013 Castle line would be around $80.xx
-The hobbit Hole would be about $52.xx

Keep in mind all of these are before tax.

Not the best deals, but for some of the newer sets I feel it is worth investigating. Happy shopping!

EDIT****
-The LEGO Creator Log Cabin is on sale on KMART's website for 19.99. This is a great price IMO. It is not castle, but there are a lot of applicable brown, tan (in the foundation of the roof) and lots of good dark red slopes (for bases of your MOC's). I bought one for $23.xx from Amazon a while back and it was well worth it at that price. Keep in mind, this is online only and KMART DOES NOT price match their website (or any store). You could do store pickup to save on shipping.

-I have also been able to find LOTR pirate ship on sale at walmart.com for $88.xx. Walmart does not price match their website, but does offer in-store pickup on some things.

No problem. I like looking for good deals

One of the Walmarts in my area sent all their clearance back. No longer there.

The other one I went to today had 9 attack of the wargs and 11 Mirkwood elf spiders for $35 and $21 respectively. If I had the time and energy I would have bought all 20 sets and conducted drafts in the future.
However, with the CCC coming up and just hosting a draft, I don't see myself doing anything of the sort for a long time lol.

I did find another Helms Deep for $89. Even though its my fourth one, I just couldn't resist it at that price. After selling all the figs and a few of the rarer pieces, I anticipate breaking even with over 1,000 bricks to spare.

My Walmart had all of these sets in the front of the store now. They were out there in the open. If you are looking for Walmart clearance it may have moved somewhere else in the store. Keep your eyes open!

Thanks for the renaming and sticky Blue. I am always vigilant, looking for the next deal :eyebrows:

I will keep you all updated as I search this world for the best LEGO deals known to man

The newest LOTR sets have a slight discount at Amazon.
27.99 Council of Elrond
55.99 Black Gate
86.79 Pirate Ship

Those aren't tremendous sales, but they are the cheapest I have seen these sets without a coupon. Pirate ship is a good price, but my instincts think it will be available sub 50 at one point.

At Amazon Lego Castle
-Gatehouse Raid is 25.59

The other 2013 castle sets have a slight discount as well. These are the lowest I have seen on these without coupons.

Not much to note at yoyo.com
Here are their LEGO on sale
http://www.yoyo.com/subcat=LEGO-10427/O ... +Shop=Sale

Minimal deals, with the exception of the Firehouse which is $15.00 off with free shipping.
Using the 20% referral code mentioned earlier would effectively make it $68.00 with free shipping. The code is stackable on sale items.
32% off a high end LEGO set is a good IMO.

The MSRP 119.99 Malevolence set would be around $86.00. That was not a good deal 2 months ago but now it is, as this set is moving out of line. I've found multiples at Walmart for $64.00 on clearance (and pulled the trigger on one). However $86.00 is a hard price to beat now, as they have left most shelves. This is a really good, undervalued set. The piece count is real high with lots of dark blue to boot. If it seems a little too pricey, keep in mind the General Greivous minifig is fetching a high price on 3rd party reseller websites. Something to consider. If I found another at $64.00 I would definitely pull the trigger on it.

KMART.com has some ok deals right now.
The Ninjago Epic Dragon Battle is 97.99 and the new Chima Gorzans Gorilla has received an $8.00 price cut already to $42.00 (some good castle pieces in this set)

If you do like Chima, amazon runs frequent deals on them, including worrizs combat lair, Eris' eagle interceptor and
Craggers Command Ship (my favorite Chima set) which all have substantial discounts right now.

Walmart.com has some rollbacks on sets, including their exclusives (this is harder to find).
Spidermans Doc Ock Ambush is $6.00 off at 23.99
Lego City Helicopter Rescue is 47.97 compared to its original price of 59.99. I have yet to see this set on sale. If you are a city fan, I would suggest this set now.
The Werewolf monster fighter set is still 15.97. I have bought this set 8 different times on sale (as cheap as 8.99 at Target). It is already a good deal at 240+ pieces. It has a werewolf minifig with cool moonstone, lots of brown and dark brown, olive green leaves and dark tan masonry bricks. It is a great castle set IMO.

Always remember, cheap LEGO can be found if you're patient and willing to shop around for it!

Happy shopping!

I would remind you all to continue to check Amazon Warehouse deals.

I saw two Medival Market Villages. At 128.xx plus tax, I couldn't pull the trigger. I had one in my cart for 2 days. On day three I decided to buy it and it was already sold.

Was feeling kind of down until last night when a Kingdoms Joust set came up for 98.xx. Needless to say I bought it immediately!

Amazon America has some decent deals right now.

The 2013 Castle line
Kings Castle is $84.30
Dragons Mountain is $42.99
Gatehouse Raid is $25.59 (I have seen the exact price at my local Walmart, Amazon must be matching)
Gold Getaway $17.10
Forest Ambush is $10.00 even

Lord of the Rings
Mines of Moria $57.99
Helms Deep $106.99
Shelob $16.80
Pirate Ship $80.33
Black Gate $51.09
Council of Elrond $25.59

The Hobbit
An Unexpected Gathering $56.23
Escape from Mirkwood Spiders $19.49
Attack of the Wargs $38.09
Goblin King $67.19

Other deals of interest
Architecture Whitehouse $37.11 (I'm inclined to think this is a good deal for 560 pieces)
X-wing Starfighter $38.79 (again, with 560 pieces. I've been putting off getting one to battle my Tie Fighter. Couldn't put it off any longer  )
Friends Dolphin Cruiser $55.99 (610 good, unique, colorful pieces with dolphins!)

As usual, most of the Chima sets are enjoying a nice discount. They are great sets for castle builders.

And finally, the Monster Fighters Haunted House is $179.95, for a whopping $0.04 off! Get it while its hot!!!

If you live near a Shopko:

The 2013 LEGO King's Castle will be on sale for $74.99 this weekend. Other sets are on sale as well, but that is the one that caught my eye.

The sales flyer also includes coupons:
$5 off of a $50 Lego purchase
$5 off of a $50 Lego Friends purchase
(These two cannot be used together)

The flyer also has a variable-value coupon on the cover if you are a My Extra Savings member and received the flyer in the mail.
Mine was $15 off of a $75 purchase. I've also seen $10 off of $40, and $10 off of $50 probably also exists. These coupons usually stack with other discounts.

Amazon.com has amazing sales right now on the new castle line and lord of the rings sets, here are a few that stood out to me:

2013 Castle line:

Kings Castle is $74.99 (25% off)
The Gatehouse Raid is $20.99 (30% off!)
Dragon Mountain is $39.58 (21% off)

Lord of the Rings and Hobbit

Attack of the Wargs is $38.00 (24% off)
The Goblin King Battle is $67.99 (32% off)
An Unexpected Journey is $55.51 (21% off)
Battle at the Black Gate is $46.99 (22% off)
Pirate Ship Ambush is $75.99 (24% off)

Some of these are fantastic deals, ESPECIALLY The Gatehouse Raid and Goblin King Battle! (of course I can't buy Lego pieces/sets right now... ), but that shouldn't stop you!

Enjoy!
