Peter Reid Exo Suit

Post by Bruce N H »

Hey all,

I've just been doing a happy dance all day since I saw the news that LEGO chose Pete Reid's Exo Suit as the next Cuusoo set. I take back every negative thing I've ever even thought about Cuusoo - I'm just so pleased they picked a true AFOL set that's not based on an IP. I just hope the ultimate set doesn't get dumbed down from Pete's original.

I don't care how dumbed down the mech is (Okay, maybe I care a little), I will be buying this. This was the only CUUSOO thing I ever voted for.

I may be in the minority, but I really don't like it. I have zero interest in that. And I have yet to buy a cuusoo set and if it keeps continuing this way, I probably won't. There are other sets that I would have preferred much more.

I'm kinda in the middle. I haven't been hugely into mechs and such, but this is really cool!

I agree with Aeridian. I am not the biggest fan of mechs, but this thing is just too cool! I am definitely looking forward to this amazing set! :D

I'm very pleased that this will become a set for one I like mechs and it has a classic space. Can't wait till 2014.

This definitely feels like a win for the AFOL community, but whether that translates into sales remains to be seen. TLG must seem to think it will.

I'll be interested to see how much it changes between the submitted idea and final product.

Pete is a close and local lego buddy, so I guess I'm a bit biased, but I'm well pleased for him. Can't wait to see it on the self.

Pretty happy with the overall look, the included mini figures, and the cute turtle.

The final version looks so sweet, I can't wait to get my hands on one. I like the fact that they've included minifigs that are virtually from the Classic Space line, and the turtle is a nice touch. The best bit...the suit itself looks very similar to the original build! :D

I ordered two Exosuits which was the maximum. They are already on back-order, so you may wish to hurry if you want one.

(Also snagged a couple Research Institutes)
