OK here is a entry from me, but sadly I have another build in progress so I couldn't do as good as I had aspired  :

On a bitterly cold morning while the wind hisses around the snowy mountaintops we find three lone travelers nearing the end of a most dangerous ascent to the peak of the mount of Ort Necrosis, not surprisingly named after the nearby town or Outlaws lair. "Do you not think we should turn back Captain Keeler? I believe there must be an approaching storm, and it would not be well to be caught up here in one. Beside it is clear that the mountain goat we were pursuing has escaped and night is drawing nigh." "Let us reach the top first, it would not be well to return to Navarre empty handed." When the tired men reached the top a fierce blast almost blew them off their feet. As a few drop of snow landed at their feet the Captain Keeler yelled above the wind, "Enough, let us turn back. And hurry, time is running out!" As they turned to begin the dangerous descent a crash, easily heard above the storm, rent the air. They turned and to their horror beheld a giant serpent rising out of the ice filled crater! Keeler's sword flashed out in an instant and then one of the men, losing his footing, tumbled down the cliff. As the creature brought down it's tail, Keeler waved his sword and ducked in time to avoid being crushed, then, uttering a war hoop, he slid down the slope followed closely be his friend. Thankfully, however, the serpent slithered back to its den, content to have successfully scared away the men.

Here's my entry!

Deep in the desolate forests of the northern kingdom, a lone
tower stands tall. Its solitary location provides the perfect home for its unusual occupant: the mysterious Merlin.

The main thing I wanted to do for this contest was use the LEGO dice, since it’s an unusual piece, and it’s iconic tothe LEGO games around which this contest is centered. :)

Soli Deo Gloria!

My first entry on this site and I had fun building at this scale. Entry for Mini Castle Contest VIII

Focused mostly on composition and elevation play as my technique at this scale is still new to me.

Hey all,

Entries are closed. We were down for a few hours yesterday, and members in Europe May have been asleep before the forum was back, so let me know if you were trying but unable to post your entry. For instance, if I can see you uploaded it to Flickr yesterday, I'll let that go through. But let me know within a day.

Otherwise we'll go ahead and judge. Results in a few days.

Hey all,

After long delay (which is entirely my fault and for which I apologize), here are the results for the Mini Castle Contest VIII.

The third runner up is Toltomeja's great Avell Castle.
Image

Second runner up is The Queen and I, by Gid617.
Image

First runner up is Goblin Attack, by Cmaddison.
Image

And finally ...drumroll, please... with a triumphant return to CC after a long absence, Legofreak, with his Orc Castle:
Image

Congratulations to Freak and all of the participants. This was tough to judge as there were a lot of great entries.

Freak, please PM me your mailing information.

Congrats to all! It took some waiting, but building microscale is always fun and I'm glad MCC returned after a year of break.
