I don't think this is a leak, since they come from someone who purchased the set. And I think castle might the appropriate forum, since most of the princesses' stories took place in medieval times and Merida, clearly comes with a castle.
I like that door. And a gold bow is pretty cool. And since they are medieval-ish, they might make for suitable giants?
There are some other set pictures there too:

Interesting. I really like the use of the friends figs for Merida and the peaces that come with the set aren't to bad either.

I really like the idea of Disney Princess sets, and while I'm not surprised that they are doing them in the 'friends' style figures, I would have really loved to see these done in classic-minifig style.

Re: Disney Princesses Sets
Hey,
We have always held that once something was on the shelves in a store, it was fair game to discuss, even if it was mistakenly put on the shelves, so this is fair game. I think this set will be fairly popular with castlers, and I'm definitely sure I'm getting it for my daughter.
Another recent Friends find that I really like is 41042 Tiger's Beautiful Palace. For just a little impulse set it has some really nice pieces - those arabic arches in light purple, a new gold accent piece, and a new plant piece, in addition to the tiger. I could see getting a few of those to do some sort of mideastern palace.

A Man-Bat in a $20ish set? Nice! The gold bow looks pretty sweet as well, but I'm not sure what I'd use it for...

Re: Disney Princesses Sets
I would have loved for the number of minifig dresses to be increased exponentially, and Disney Princesses would be perfect for that. Although it was not meant to be, this means a lot of new hair regardless. Most, if not all, will be minifigure compatible (I hope!)Kev wrote:I really like the idea of Disney Princess sets, and while I'm not surprised that they are doing them in the 'friends' style figures, I would have really loved to see these done in classic-minifig style.

Both of those sets make me a very happy Queen of Tan. Very happy indeed. I need like 10 of that Beautiful Tiger and the Brave one is a must.

I love that Brave set, but I really wish Merida's hair was longer. It does not do her justice. I envision something much bigger, curlier, and longer

Re: Disney Princesses Sets
Considering that they're juggling three different aesthetics here: the original Brave, Disney Princesses as a homogenised group, and LEGO Friends, this set does really well--though I think I'm agreeing with SSchmidt when I say that the end result isn't quite a close to Brave as it could have been. I'm liking the parts here, though--and the Castle-friendly Friends. Now, where did I put my Tauriel hairpiece...
Re: Disney Princesses Sets
Eh, I think there ok. I really haven't found much use for pink pieces, except maybe as fillers Brave's hair is pretty cool, and those new plant things look sweet, but that's about it.

Re: Disney Princesses Sets
The use of that hairpiece is a major fail. I haven't seen Brave, but it strikes me that a main part of the character's design is her unique hair? This lego friends version looks like she's been shorn. The gold bow looks great though.
A few interesting new pieces in the tiger set. Look forward to seeing what larger set/theme they turn up in, as I'm guessing TLG don't make new pieces exclusively for small sets like this?

Re: Disney Princesses Sets
Yeah, the hair is bad. They must be just cheaping out by reusing, or making a more useful wig than by going for the actual look.

Re: Disney Princesses Sets
Please be careful in this thread...several confidential images of this line are showing up online. As we discussed in the new thread about leaks, please just be careful with how you discuss things that aren't fitting in the policy.
Having said that...the female who grew up watching the Disney princess, who adores Disney as an adult, squeals in delight with this line. The duplo ones were nice, but didn't make me want to go jump and buy them. A giant duplo sleeping beauty does nothing to add to my princess building. But a Friends one will. I just think the possibles of what is in just the one set we are seeing, makes for excitement even if just in terms of the parts available in that set that haven't been before. I'm excited! And probably will end up buying the whole entire line of these and us the parts in my castle and pirate builds.

Re: Disney Princesses Sets
Recently, I bought Lego Duplo Cinderella's castle for my niece. I loved the way the castle looks with two levels, doors, chandeliers and much more. The best thing I liked about the set was Cinderella's cute skirt for role play. I totally loved the set and it works with other Duplo princess sets pretty amazingly.
