Hey, does anyone know if (or how) you can change the color of light in a official LEGO light-up LED brick?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
~RBC

I've often thought about this, but have no clue how to do so myself!

You could probably create some sort of filter using colored plastic, or you could try replacing the LED in the light brick with the LED color you want to use.

Once you've changed the bulb, the brick would not be considered "purist" by most contests, so you're probably better off just rigging your own circuit with a stand-alone LED. I would think it would be a lot easier, and you wouldn't have to worry about ruining a perfectly good light-up brick.

If it somehow would be possible to open it without destroying all the stuff inside, then you could also change the batteries . I have 3 old ones from the exoforce sets, which don't shine a lot, they really could use some more power and colour .AK_Brickster wrote:Once you've changed the bulb, the brick would not be considered "purist" by most contests, so you're probably better off just rigging your own circuit with a stand-alone LED. I might start experiencing with this, as I have 3 light bricks with almost empty batteries... means I can try it 3 times.
EDIT: I got it at the first try. That was quite simple... if anyone wants instructions, then tell me and I will make some if I find time.

Were you able to change the color of the bulb?
