I really like the mix colors you used for the trees and vegetation. Great sense of action going on.
I've seen the Dragonlance books more than a few times, they pretty good?

Your trees look great and I love the wagons! Nice color scheme.

Some of them are! The authors Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman made up the world and they started with the Chronicles. The first one is OK(it was their first novel), after that they get very good. There are a ton of spinoff novels from other authors and those are really hit and miss.Aeridian wrote:I really like the mix colors you used for the trees and vegetation. This is really cool!! I like the simplicity of the wagons and the hitch. The two trees on the left are particularly nice and I agree with the others about the color scheme. You need to get a Flickr so I can check out your other builds that I may miss.
The Dragon Lance books are pretty good especially if you read the ones by Hickman and Weis. They made a cartoon movie which in my opinion was horrible. If your'ew interested, I'm sure Kayne and myself could PM you some suggested titles.Aeridian wrote:I really like the mix colors you used for the trees and vegetation. Great sense of action going on.

Re: CCCXI- Misc-Qualinesti Rescue
I really think you hit a home run with the trees, but they almost are your undoing in this scene, because my eye goes to them and not to the action around the caravan. I think a really bright and varied environment would work better with a simple setting like a solitary figure walking through the forest. That way, the trees can be the main attraction without distracting from the focal point.
That said, I think you have a great concept here, and I really like the wagon design and the varied figs, particularly the captives. The horse hitching is a really nice technique as well. It looks like there are a lot of articulation possibilities with it.
A last item would be that I'd like to see the bad guys either carrying or dropping weapons as they run away. You'd think they would be armed with such a valuable cargo. EDIT: after looking at the full gallery, I see some of them with weapons. I guess they just weren't visible in the shots you show here
Keep up the good work!

Beautiful build laddie. Very inspirational. And I can see why those Orc Outlaws are running away. I'd do that when faced by six archers with longbows.

Good feedback! On the table it felt right, once I edited the photos, I totally felt the same as you with losing some of the action because of the background. Gives me something more to work on (like I don't have enough )AK_Brickster wrote:I really think you hit a home run with the trees, but they almost are your undoing in this scene, because my eye goes to them and not to the action around the caravan.
