My entry for the Castle category:
This is my first real attempt at making a decent castle. I tried out various things for the first time, like angled walls, and molting. I think it turned out very well.
Flickr set here. More picture to come after the contest. Maybe....
Comments and criticism are welcome.

Nice castle! I really like the smoothness and angles of this castle, and I agree; it does look sturdy. Really well done!

Very good castle! It definitely looks sturdy which is always a plus for castles in my opinion. You incorporated the angled sections smoothly and the courtyard detailing is excellent.
Neat shading in the water too

Re: CCCXI: Roseland Castle
I love this castle! Its nice and compact the angles are excellent! Some of my favourite castles that I see online are like this one. It really gives the sense of might and strength while at the same time not being super big. It's not too detailed but still enough to make it appealing. I love the battlements and the river adds a nice peacefulness to the scene.
Happy Building!

Not quite sure I believe that "first real attempt" bit...
I really like how solid this castle looks.

Thank you for the replies!
It is a very solid castle. If it wasn't so heavy, I could pick it up with one hand without fear of it breaking.
I have built many castles before, but they have all been half-hearted attempts.

Great work on the simple yet formidable design.
