A time to be civil.

Post by wlister »

Despite all our complaints, I doubt any good will come from it. I have decided to reserve any further judgement of any of the new lines until I see them in person. Ii is too bad that the new sets will not be more like the "Real world" links we see on the Knights Kingdom page and it is also too bad they don't look more like the castles from the Morcia Map. Even the Morcia castle looks better than the one they decided to produce. But Perhaps as the line develops, the sets will improve.

I think the rash of negative comments might chase away any potential contact from TLC with this site, so perhaps if we keep a civil tone we may encourage them to interact with us. I would love to see some of the previews of new and upcoming lines being announced here. Perhaps the more AFOL friendly Legends and re-issues could be announced here in the future.

Lets keep if friendly, we never know who else could be reading.

Oh.
My bad.

I needed this. Thanks.

A toast to the new year, then. Cheers! :)

I don't see the point in not giving an honest opinion as long as it isn't one of these borderline psychotic rants that simply flames all of Lego without investing one ounce of understanding about what Lego is trying to do (sell a toy in a competitive market).
Redwine the Ribald: Stare long enough into the abyss...
Two-Tonic Tippler: ...and you spit into it.

That was the point, to make comments that were honest opinions without resorting to childish, irrational, hostile comments. I never meant we can't voice our opinions, just that we should do it with a more civil tone. I have been a part of the irrational rants around here and have been witness to many as well.

I then realized that the goal of Classic Castle was to attract the attention of TLC and perhaps become a community in "the know" much like FBTB. I check those boards as well and I have noticed that TLC has been rather silent as the quality and demeanor of the posts have gone downhill.

The thought was if we as a community decided we would be more civil, we may gain some respect from TLC and then perhaps more info about upcoming lines etc...

It was just a thought.
