Those Friends sets are a goldmine of neat little parts. Despite the stigma and odd looks you might receive by the cashier, it's worth it in the end! :)

Are they really worth that much? If so, I might need to look in to getting some...it would look weird.

I once went to Target, and they were giving away a limited amount of friends $5 baggies, so that people/girls could try out Lego and see if they like it. Only girls/women were allowed to take them (weird right!?) I was able to nab one because I said I had a sister, and I do, but she is 3 months. :P I'll give it to her once she is old enough, but until then....

I am so proud of you Curt! Not because you think you are addicted but because you bought a Friends set. I've been trying since they came out to get people to see the amazingness which is these sets...even if it is just for parts. And the parts are GREAT! I've done a draft with these sets...no dud parts left over. They are just good. Don't feel ashamed. Just build it.

Now for the set you bought. My father who does not support my hobby at all, LOVED this set. He thinks the tractor is great. He even played with it a bit. My father who says "stop playing with toys."

Right now, the $10 sets are full of great too. Good parts in all of them. The polybags with the animals are really good...if you can find them. I'm not so excited about the big sets. Take a chance like Curt did, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Mmmmm....I dunno.. that harvest set does look appealing, but would kinda look weird for a male teenager to be buying friends. However, I have 2 sisters, 10 and 8, so I might be able to get it for my 8 yo sister, give her the minidoll thingy, and snab(cross of grab and snatch  ) the goodies for myself :sly:

Oh oh pick me I'm a teen age boy who buys pink buckets and Friends. There so nice mainly because normal Lego sets don't have enough female figs(at least the sets I own). The sets are just great. I still need to get some more though. As for the figs well I think there awesome I don't know why they just are me and my brother have a had lots of fun with them actually.

No shame in buying any Lego set at all IMO and I'm an old man with grown kids. Kids got me hooked on this building thing some years ago and I can't stop! That said, it seems like there are more pieces I would not use than I would use in many Friends sets, so for now at least I bricklink the parts I do want.
