Are you talking about two different forums?

In general, you can post pictures wherever you want, but they need to be publicly visible without an account. E.g. you cannot use facebook because judges cannot see facebook pictures without a facebook account. If you post to another forum, that is ok, just make sure an account is not needed to see them.

I submitted my entry. I put the 'link' to these photos here in the forum as well as the video:

Bishons,

I can see all the pictures and the youtube video link works.

Hey y'all,

I had a question about how Master Builder is calculated. Are the entrants top 6 entries totaled or are all of their entries totaled? Or their top entries in all categories? I'm curious if there is an advantage to entering more categories vs producing a second better entry to a category already entered, or if doing either confers an advantage. :tasty:

Thanks!

Top 6 entries are totaled. If you want to play the numbers game, then 2 entries per category gives better odds.

I have an interesting question. For presentation score, only the main image (the one used in the submit an entry form) is judged? Or all the pictures in the album that is linked? I guess it makes more sense to just judge the main photo, especially when others are to show non-artistic aspects of the build. But I was wondering if there was a protocol for that?
Thank you!

Good question. I'll give my view, but someone will post if there is a more definite answer. It will likely be up to each judge, under the guidance of the rules page (same for the other criteria).

I'd say the main image would carry the most weight, but all could be considered.

Now that judging has begun, answering now is a bit moot. But I'll give an up-to-date answer. There has not been any discussions amongst the judges about this - so as I said last time, "it will be up to each judge, under the guidance of the rules page".

I'm editing what I said below for brevity and clarity:

I'm not taking points off for additional images that are not as good. I'm occasionally adding fractions of a point if additional images help show more details of the MOCs.

Original:
What I have been doing is taking all images into account. For instance, there are some large and detailed builds where you cannot see everything from the 'main' shot - I've been giving entries with addition pictures (when they show new details) a slightly higher score. And there are some entries with a truly excellent 'main' shot and I have not taken off points for other photos that are less than truly excellent. With only 2 presentation points to work with, these differences are only worth 0.1 or 0.2 points (to me). Most entries are presented well and only those few with (very) poor lighting or being out of focus are getting low presentation scores.

I want to address this also. We took away all of the rules about photos as to make the whole process more fun and to give those who were all about the artistic presentation what they wanted.

Having said that...the very dark images are really hard to judge. I have a giant monitor and I am still struggling to see details. I doubt we will add a rule back in about photos but please consider if the details can not be seen, they can't be judged properly and they are losing points.
