Hey. I was just gonna post this myself If that's not wierd I dunno what is. This really stood out to me because of the roof. It looks really....witch like, and it looks really cool (In and evil sinister kind of way.) And that shed by the house looks great alongside the house. I like how the builder put the house right in a pond/marsh. That deck look cool too. And oooooo look at that little cave, nice moc

All the MOCs that guy makes are pretty good. I am very jealous.

He has some true LEGO talent, and all his pictures are touched up very well.

Wow, thats a good MOC. I like the landscaping. and the roof is awesome. Do you know who built it? Who ever did is one heck of a good builder.

I'm usually very impressed with Itou's work, but this one just seems lacking to me. It really doesn't live up to his standards.

I've always been impressed with his ability to do landscaping and build the buildings into them, but it seems to me the buildings in this one were built first, and the landscaping was built around them. An Island with such a huge rock hill in it on only one side just doesn't seem very plausable to me, even if the island were stuck in a swamp.

The house is very well furnished, and I like the fact it's up on stilts, and the roof looks kinda neat too. But I think he was trying to go for a round roof feel, but it just fails since he didn't attempt a round building to go with it.

I am going to have to remember those brick built windows though, those are really cool.

I agree with you Tony - it does look like he did the building first, but I disagree about the rock island thing.
This picture shows one similar to one in one of the lakes near where I grew up. one side was totally dominated by this big bald rock, and the other side was overgrown with ferns and trees. It was only out a little ways in the lake, and we used to swim out there and jump off the rock.
Back on topic
The only thing I dont like about this moc is it's too bright. I think he should have used sand green to tone it down a bit. He has a nice dark house, black roof, spooky cave, and bright green foliage. Just doesn't work for me.
HOWEVER - that criticism aside. this is a great moc, and very nicely done. I always love looking at this guys stuff, and really wish he were a member here. I'd like to pick his brain on some of these.

Regarding the MOC: The entrance to the cave reminds me of a hobbit-hole...

I was going to post on this one, too. Anthony, I think the thing you're missing in this one might be the verticality that marks most of Takeshi's work. I love the cluttered feel of the interior, and the little witch-children are a humorous touch. I agree that that cave entrance feels very hobbit-hole-like.

I saw this yesterday, and it prompted me to bookmark his folder. I love everything that he has built. The one thing that I don't like (and this goes for his entire folder) is that the pictures are a little bit small, so it's difficult to see some of the details

What can I say? This is a totally awesome model, as good as any of his others. I love the little cave, makes me think it was some bigger building overgrown. The house is nice wattle and daub! Rocks do appear like that, by the way, in lakes and rivers anyway.

Brilliant. I do agree with Tony that it's not up to par with his other creations, but this model still blows most castle MOCs I see out of the water. I love that thing on the roof, whatever it's supposed to be. It really gives the house an eery feel. I think it's excellently laid out, also. I'm not really digging the window in the rockface, though, for some reason. And what a good plase to use those mushroom pieces. Overall, I think it's excellent work.

I believe that is a weather vane, which is something not often seen in a LEGO creation. I agree that is a very nice touch.

I'm not really digging the window in the rockface, though, for some reason.

The barred window in the rockface seems like it would be more fitting if that particular room were a dungeon sort of area. Maybe she's just planning ahead for when the kids move out...
