fantasy castle
Ok, here is my latest, and I'll be adding some detail pics over the next couple of weeks. I am too tired right now, and my job is hitting its busy schedule, so I just have the three preview pics.
They are a little large though to show SOME detail.
Let me begin by saying that this castle was the most fun to build. I didn't worry about 'realistic' details, because I wanted to go for that fantasy feel. And I like the way it turned out.
Every room opens up, and there are stairs leading everywhere. There is a spring for fresh water, and Alex's orcs can reach the wall with their big attack ladder for fun.
In fact this whole castle was designed with my son in mind. I wanted us to be able to actually play through the whole thing.
so anyway - hope you can judge for yourself how well I did (or didn't) do.

You know you're a good person when you see megablocks and have to do things you would rather not.

*And the bulls arrive in kk2*
Cedric the bull: "Hahaha Leo we're here to- wtf?"
*and the bulls see some happy knights bouncing at each other with carts*
Cedric (shocked): "I guess we got the wrong KK''
Bull soldier (frightened): "Lets go back"

You managed a fantasy castle without being outlandish. It has a great feeling of growing out of a rocky promontory. The castle looks like one that is actually lived in with some wonderful assymetrical details.

Wow!
Hey Freak,
I absolutly love this Castle. This is the best of your MOCs IMO, well except for maybe that wolf monster.
I really love your building style. You show us that great castles don't have to be built out of 100,000s of bricks. And you show us that its ok to throw in a premold every once in a while.
Great Work,
I really can't wait for the rest.

Wow!
LF, my friend! Once again, you've brought me back from the dead.
Fantastic work! I loved the raised landscape and drawbridge -- all of the foalige was a nice touch and the barred window (door?) works great!
