How do I load exe. files?

How do I load exe. files on to the net? Is there a site that will host them for you?

Why would you want to host an exe file on the internet?

Most people with any sense at all would not even consider downloading an exe file from an untrusted source.

Finally, unless you have written a LEGO-related application or other utility, I doubt that you need to host an exe file to accomplish what you are trying to do.

Just link to it like you would any other file on a website. However, you should probably zip it first.

That link in your signature for "Bricks and More Bricks" is your site, is it not? I can't tell you exactly how to do it because I don't know exactly how your web hosting service works, but it should be the same as uploading a picture or any other file.

Possible problems:
The company hosting your site may forbid the use of exe files
The exe file may be too big

Zipping the file first might solve both of those problems.

Just Zip it. Then it will be a .zip instead of a .exe and you may be able to sneak it past them.

If you're using windows XP, you should be able to right-click on the exe file and choose "compress" or "send to archive" or something like that to zip it. On older versions of windows, you can download a program called WinZip for free that will do this as well.


As for free servers that host exe files? It is unlikely due to the security liability it creates, which is something the free servers can't afford to deal with. A service you pay for, on the other hand, will usually let you post anything you want.

How big is the file? Maybe you could find somebody who would offer to host it for you.
