Medieval: LEGO WARZ

Post by Ramus »

Hola,
:D

I am currently putting together a Wargame (warhammer type, etc) style game for LEGOS. Currently we are testing & tweaking & should expect a web release soon.

The purpose of this message is to feel out the community & see what kind of interest is floating about. :?:

The release version of the game will be very detailed, (using all the lego weapons & armor I can get my hands on) but at the same time fairly simple. All in all the flexible structure & detailed gameplay should make for very intereting gaming.

The final release will also include well designed tables, charts, instructions & play cards (each equipment item, unit type, etc will have it's own statistics card)

Please post & let me know what you think in general. Ideas, suggestions and anything else.

Thanks much.

Also - The name will be Medieval: LEGO WARZ. I don't think that this intrudes on anyone elses game or such.

I will be posting updates on my site www.crimsondaggers.com soon.

YOUR IDEAS / OPINIONS ARE APPRECIATED!

Hi Ramus,

Welcome to Classic-Castle :D

I am sure their will be interest in your game. Is it free? I am wondering because you do not want to violate any LEGO copyrights. I would also suggest changing the name from "LEGO WARZ" to something else. LEGO is picky about having their name attached to things that they did not create, and rightfully so. Maybe a name like Castle Warz could work.

On a side note, LEGO produces many products, not just bricks. Therefor, using the term LEGO bricks is better than "LEGOS". "LEGOS" could be two wooden ducks produced by LEGO in the 1930's :D

Yes the game will be free.

The final download will probably even include the MS Access database (fairly easy to use) so as to be able to add / edit till your heart is content.

As far as the name goes... I will definatly keep that in mind before I release anything. Any name brainstorms are welcome.

Thanks...

It sounds like a wonderful idea. Do you have a beta versian that a few of us can play and help test it? "Share the load" so to speak... anyway. do you have a mailing list or just posting your updates on your site? I look forward to playing!

Yes but Ogel is also the big evil dude in lego's 'Alpha Team', so it would sound to people like you are playing a weird game of Alpha team. Just my opinion though
