Those sets are great! Anyone notice the new Chrome Silver neck-protector helmet at the Fortress?

Where is this Viking maiden you mention?! I only see male figs. Still, this line looks pretty impressive thus far. I like the look of that giant ballista!porschecm2 wrote:There's a NEW WARHAMMER! Later.
Okay, I'm still digesting the pictures, but let me interject that, yes, I am eating crow on this one. My fears of these being in 4+ scale are now proven to be without basis. My apologies to all for being a fearmonger. And I must say that I, for one, am stupendously thankful that I was wrong.
My first impressions on the sets: This is going to be a good year - though my Lego budget is going to be stretched in too many directions!

I see no maidens either, and guys the pics are on my BrickShelf Gallery and a thread with all the pics on our own forums http://classic-castle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3599
No more clicking into EuroBricks' forums. Though I credited them as the original source in my BrickShelf gallery.
Edit:
*rubs it in*
I told you they were minifig scale!!!
The flag, the oars, flame piece, and spear were the main clues to it.

Just don't let it go to your head.

PS Does anyone know what crow tastes like?

Don't worry, we all make mistakes and I must admit that our first pic was blurry at will

Those creatures are pretty spaz. The designs are awesome (finally, a decent serpent!), and there is nice balance of creatively reused parts and new pieces. My favorite set would be the village, followed closely by the main ship. I just don't like that the beast attacking the village is built upon a KKII torso.

Later.
I could be wrong, of course, but it appears to me that the figure in the tower of the fortress is not male. Either way, I love this stuff.

I just looked at the fig again. Looks like an opera singer to me.
At first I thought it was a yellow beard. But its a female warrior alright. Unless Viking lords liked wearing red lipstick...
---------
Edit: I did some photo-forensics again, and it seems to be a yellow beard. Or is it?
Argh, I have an easier time scaling the size of minifigs than determining their "gender patterns".

wow
im not really digging the high helmets or the monster in 7015, but the longship looks awesome and i like the bionicle-ish monsters(i think the best and only use for such elements so far within the minifig world are for aliens and/or monsters)
i'd definitely buy the uh, fort for all those brown log bricks!

WOPEE!
These sets are great, well some of them are... The Longship looks awsome, if I get the money, tha'ts the one I'm taking home!
Do'nt know about some of the others, I mean the minifigs are cool I guess, but I do'nt like the mix in of Bionicle pieces into system scale models, as seen in the fortress model, the monster looks terrible, oh well, I guess this will sell good.
That longship almost made me cry, it's beautiful!
This is going to be a great LEGO year, and I think we've earned it. Then the question arrises, is this castle? I'm gonna take side with Jpinoy and say it is. Why? because castle need new blood, and the timeframe is basically right, the nordic viking age stretched well into the middle ages (1000AD).
Does someone know of a releas date yet?
JOEL!
Does this mean we're gonna get round shiel avatars here at the forums? ''
