Whatever this is, it almost certainly isn't part of KK2. The design aesthetic of the two lines is completely different. This viking vessel has a more classic look to it, complete with traditional colouring.

KK2, was clearly aimed at a younger audience, with its bubble gum colours, and strong emphasis on geometric shapes. This line doesn't share these traits. What is for certain is that I don't see any wheeled horses, or orange sawblades here.

I'm not certain if I like this particular set, but I really like the idea of a Viking line. I really hope lego goes all out with this one. It could be a year to remember.

This new theme is NOT kk2 for sure. That said, I think that the Vikings will be somethine like the old pirate days. I'm telling ya. LEGO is coming back over from the dark side. :D

Anyone have an odd feeling that the Great Swords in those pics will be replaced with the KK2 swords?

Don't paint the Devil on the wall!

(And only yesterday I looked at those KK2 swords and I realized how ugly they really are. Bah!)

Naah, they could'nt do that if this is a new line. The butterknifes are very specific for KKII (thank God).

Hey you never know... they might recycle the part into Vikings.

I do have a use for such swords, and no I don't mutilate them. But do use them as they are.

The KK2 swords are fine for JUST the knights. If you try to give an entire army strange looking large blade swords, it doesn't feel right at all. So I keep them to the knights and leave my normal chrome and regular swords to the rest of the world.

I hope the chrome stays, im a fan of them.

Hmm... not sure I agree with this... I'm not a big fan of the swords in any context ~ but I see where your coming from.

I don't think that the vikings will use these swords, it seems like it would look really out of place for vikings. Hopefully they will use one of the traditional molds?
Knight Templar
n. pl. Knights Templars or Knights Templar
1.A member of an order of knights founded about 1118 to protect pilgrims in the Holy Land during the Second Crusade.

I was thinking that new sword molds would be nice, historical Viking-esque swords ... but it looks like we'll get the chrome greatsword in the new chrome, which is good, because the chrome chipping off is a continual problem for me.
