My Castle Project Update

I have after many months posted some pictures of my Castle in its Stage 4 guise. I think thats it complete. The only way I might go from here is to add a town wall or the like. I've tried to capture the new part of it from as many angles as possible (without too many tedious repetetive shots) I do have a pile more photos so if you fancy a better look at any part let me know and I'll have a rummage. I will take interior shots of it too .. honest .. no really.

Very beautifully done. I love the fact that its a large and well defended castle with a small village around. I'm impressed how they both go together so splendidly. Very nice work.

Especially like the little wooden wall surrounding the outer village.

Wow. This castle is simply amazing, I like it a lot, and I remember seeing preview pictures awhile ago. the town looks great! May I see a better picture of the wooden wall?

Heh yes, the yellow and orange backgrounds bring back memories, don't they?

But good work James! Looks like a believeable town/city. Lots of interesting structures to study!

Really nice! I really love how deceptively large this castle is! It really looks monumental. I'm wondering, how tall is the castle exactly?

And, as others have said, this really does capture the feel of classic system building. With so many small details, this one really comes alive.

Probably the best castle I've seen in 2005.

Great stuff James! I like the wooden palisade. They are under built (TLC we need more brown!). I think your scale is very immpressive, I luv 'em big. I'd like to see towers, just a personal desire.

Thanks guys .. Lugnet has a battle on its hands for 'Friendliest Place on the Net' .. It has at the moment anyway
I find it interesting that people are interested in the palisade as it was added as an afterthought. I've taken a closer photo of it and its at http://www.minifig.co.uk/picture.asp?id=3&pID=470 Its actually a smaller version of the one I made for a show last year http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=667748 (wow look at the dust on my windmill - eugh) Thats the same castle in the background btw in an earlier stage. The buildings are a mix of both mine and William Howards.
