Toy Fair Star Wars

Post by The Wolfpack Boss »

Wow.

I just got done looking at the ToyFair pics of the new Death Star model. I'm not really that into the models ... they're cool, but I'm a Legoland sort of guy.

But I think I'll be getting this beast.

Why?

There are so many gray bricks, plates and other pieces ... it's not the largest amount ever, it'd be easier just to buy bricks in bulk online, but hey ... this thing comes with some interesting things. Hinges, angled plates ...

Plus, it has tons of great ladders, levers, and other little greebly pieces. It's really a good parts set.

I want the Yoda statue too, so many great, and much needed colors ... tan, sand green, brown.

The Vader statue also provides some great bricks, black of course, but the thing is just too impressive not to build and have on a shelf somewhere.

Pretty cool.

Where are these pictures at? FBTB? Don't just post saying I've seen these great pics of new Lego products without telling us where we can look! What's wrong with you?

I would also like to know where to find pictures of the Death Star model.

Allthough the new Death Star II is awful, it does have alot of good plates (if your into bley of course  )! That Darth Vader is awsome! I might pick up a few of those.

Thanks.
Well, I probably won't be buying it, because new light grey is the one new color that I'm avoiding like the plague, but it looks pretty cool, I guess. I like the little Executor Super Star Destroyer orbiting around it.

Is the Darth Vader a real set?

I think Darth Vador and Yoda are just there for show.
Later.
I'm not sure, but it (Vader) sure looks amazing. He looks about 18-24 inches tall, so perhaps it is a set that hasn't been announced. Here's hoping.

From this page:

http://www.fbtb.net/toyfair/2005/

It appears that Darth Vader will be given to the winning team of the ISD Building Competition.

As for the ball of grey, it looks cool (mostly because not many LEGO models are sphere-shaped) but it's kinda boring. It's definitely not as impressive as the ISD or a UCS Millenium Falcon (here's hoping). And it doesn't fit in with the rest of my collection...
