The U.S.S. Vignette (New room added 3/19)

Post by Athos »

Hey all,

My latest vignette project: the U.S.S. Vignette. This will be a series of modular vignettes, which when done should create the interior of an attack submarine.

Thus far, it includes:

The Torpedo Room:

The Bridge:

And the whole boat this far:

The entire gallery (when moderated):

Hope you like it,
Steve

Interesting idea. Your vignettes, though, need...something. Maybe action. They're extremely static right now. Even something as simple as a crewman running would help alot, or an officer manning the periscope. I like what you've got so far, though. I can't wait to see the whole thing.

Cool idea. Blooged. I agree with Chris, though, that it'll look better with more action.

That's a fantastic Idea!!
If only I would have thought of that when making my U-Boat!

I really liked Nelsons' Chateau de Vignette and am glad to see yet another series of modular vignettes. So far it looks good - I'm looking forward to seeing the finished sub.

Ken (whose also looking forward to more modular vigs by other builders).

Decided that three vignettes weren't enough for today, so I added a new room to my submarine: The Bunk Room, where the sailors can catch up on their 'Z's, in tiny cramped beds.

The whole boat (yes I said boat, submarines are technically boats, not ships) thus far:

The whole nautical gallery:

This is looking really good, I like the way you made the periscope and all the computers. I also noticed you added a gun on the top.

Thanks. I'm actually thinking about redoing the tower so it is minifig accessible. And I'd forgotten about the deck gun. Think I might put a little volleyball net near the rear for the sailors in their free time, too.
