WARHAMMER?

I have never heard or played "warhammer" - it sounds interesting. Of course, www.brikwars.com is pretty fun too, though it requires alot of planning.

I created a easyer version of it, and I tested it with my brother (only once though )

they had a lot of fun, but have no time to play anymore...

I wasted alot of money on warhammers and it is quite fun but i never play games with them that much. But when my friend comes round we can try out this method of lego instead of warhammers.

And with msucymbals problem if you are only using lego then you can size everything up by a certain amount but if your playing against warhammer figures it would be harder but you could try using blu_tack to stick the lego to a gw base.

I am really glad that other people have thought of (and played) Warhammer using Lego. I agree with previous posts that warhammer can easily chew up a lot of your hard earned money. But the game is fun, with a lot of complex and interesting elements to it. This makes the game fun to play.

Another great thing about warhammer is that it is a tried-and-tested wargame, so a lot of the "problems" have been sorted out a long time ago. Which leads itself to smooth gaming.

I have built an Empiral Steam Tank for my Lego Warhammer. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=11551. I am currently building scenery which will make my gaming table look like a warhammer game.

Keep on gaming, and I am sure I will be asking more questions about other people’s experiences with Warhammer.

The warhammer rules are great!
Me and Green_Fox play lego battles with warhammer rules every week, and random event tables, etc, are a great addition.

I have about £1000 worth of warhammer in real life...

What have people created from Warhammer. I am currently trying to build a Gyro-copter, as used by the Dwarves. And in my previous post I have a link to a Empire Steam Tank.

I am curious to know if other people have built Warhammer specific items.

If you haven't already got sucked into Warhammer or 40K, I would warn to not get involved. It's more of a money pit that Lego. I played 40K for years, had several armies, which I am now selling off at a loss just to find some more money to buy Lego with. Also with many of the GW games, they seem to change the rules every 3 or 4 years.

BrikWars is not any more complicated than Warhammer and gives you more flexibility. Or Brick Battles, simple enough rules to learn in 10 minutes.

Now that does touch on the fact that the Warhammer minatures are beautiful and if you enjoy painting (which I do) then it can be fun.

Lego is not a money pit . It is an investment

The thing that warhammer has that Brikwars does not have is a rich storyline. This is part of the appeal (and marketing strategy) of Warhammer. So it is very easy to get drawn into the warhammer world.

I would happily play warhammer with Lego any day. If only there were enough players around.

Do you have pictures of these battles? What do you do as regards to scale? I would be interested in more information that you have on how have adopted the warhammer rules to the Lego scale.

Great fun, i had my own share of plastic carnage with my friends after a great deal of R&D, check this out, we utilised modified Warhammer rules to suite LEGO environment

During my college years, I got a job at a Game Store, where the big thing was Warhammer (40k and Fantasy), though my coworkers tried their hardest, I never got into it.

But I still talk to them, and I still check out their stuff. I actually used some warhammer pieces for my LEGO customs. When I get a chance, I should post a pic or 2...

trust me mate, warhammer 40,000 rules fantasy is too - i dont know i just dont like it, its not as intricate as 40k
