eToys Sale on Harry Potty

Post by Teh Stud »

Although I'm not the biggest fan of Harry Potty sets, at 50% off they are great for breaking down into pieces. Check out the sale! I've already bought my 3 Hogwarts Castles.....

*complain mode on* And why does it go on SUCH sales only in the American market? I never get such sales over here. *complain mode off*
Though it doesn't matter right now since I have no cash anyway.

(And boy! is that link above long!)

Bye

Sales never reach this side of the North American border either. TRU and Wally World don't feel the need to do big discounts with no other big toy chains to compete with up here. Kind of a bummer when you do have the $$ and there are no sales to make you feel like opening the old wallet. My wallet has nought but dust right now anyway, but a sale would be nice. Neither KB, Amazon or etoys will ship to Canada.

I believe it has something to do with the tax laws here compared to other places. Companies here pay an "inventory tax" on items they have in inventory, so they routinely cycle stuff out of inventory before the end of their fiscal year.

If you have to pay to keep something in stick, it quickly becomes expensive to keep it sitting around for many years.

(I am not a tax expert, just some things i've heard....)

Thanks for the offer guys,

Right now my wallet is full of dust but when that situation improves, I would be happy to take you guys up on it. On the off chance we have a sale in Canada that beats one in the south, I would be willing to return the favor.
