I guess that this is a set that rides or falls on how much you like the Dragon Masters. Personally speaking, I love the faction, so this is a great set in my opinion. If you dislike the Dragon Masters, then this set is about useless.
As for the complaint that it only has four figs instead of the six of the previous two sets, four is a number that is comparable with other minifig sets, namely the Pirate ones. All three from that line had four figs. Also, to note in comparison with previous Castle minifigs: this has a horse, those didn't. I rather like to think that a horse more or less has the name mass/value as two figs, so the basic worth of the set is about comparable.

I think I actualy have this set. It includes the only Wolfpack figure I have, the only DM cape I have, as well as two of the five DMs with Dragon helmets that I have. I use 'em as beserkers: they're actually pretty deadly.
This is among the sets I now wish I had many more than one of. I love those helms and those figures.

Azure, a saltire cantoned with a star in chief and in base and two crescents addorsed in the flanks, argent.

Nice minifigs, but essentially one horse replaced two minifigs from previous minifig packs, which stinks... but a nice way of amassing armies of Dragon Masters with plumes...

You don't like the Dragon Masters, but your Avatar has one of the shields in it! Sorry if I sound confrontational, I'm not trying to be. I'm just pointing out what I noticed.HenrytheV wrote:Sorry guys, but I just don't like Dragon Masters. I give this set a 3/10
I loved this set. I would have purchased tons of these if I hadn't bought all the figs from the first Auczilla that Todd Lehman held....

Not a bad little set. I like the dragon plumes, and the helmets. Still I would have preferred another soldier over the horse, but for those who like mounted armies, I guess including a horse is a good thing. Overall, 8/10.
Is that dragon knight supposed to have 1 black and 1 blue leg?

My opinion of the hideous Dragon Master design - with a color scheme that would get you kicked out of any art program in the country, and arguably the worst torso prints in the history of Castle - is a matter of record. On the other hand, if you like Dragon Master figs or even just wanted to do some army building, this is a great set, and has a wolfpack fig thrown in to sweeten the deal. I'll give it a grudging 6/10 (for all my whining, I do have some 40 DM figs, and I'm not about to sell 'em).

A bit late late to the fray, I know, but I want to speak.
Personally, I loved the DM's. Granted, their set designs were weak in places, and there could have been more figs, but I liked the fact that we finally had a proper evil faction. Yes, I know lots of people enjoy making their own bad guys instead, but up until 1993, there had never realyl been any enemies for the Crusaders etc. to fight. When the Dragon Masters arrived, I think it changed for the better.
As for the set, I've really explained it above, and the Wolfpack guy 0wns. It would have been nice to see a Black Knight or two squeezed in there, but the Dragon Masters are enough for me.
8/10

I always liked the Dragon Masters figs. All this set needs is the wizard and the red dragon head piece.

Meh.
I do not particularly like the DM figs. Ugly torsos and a shield that is mis-coloured never appealed to me. More offensive was the fact that this set only had four minifigs. I'm sorry, but a horse is no substitute for two figs. Still, I consider the DM line to be the beginnings of LEGO's decline in the 90s, so the reduction in figures doesn't surprise me.
Still, I would rather have 6102 or 6103 over 6105. This was a major step backwards when it comes to minifig packs, and a complete disappointment to me.
