2nd UPDATE: Greensbury Castle 800 years later....
Nestled in the county of Greensbury lies a castle which a band of Hospitallers & a crazy old warlock call home.

UPDATE: Apparently the Black Falcon's didn't take it well when the Hospitallers built a castle so close to their kingdom. To make matters worse, the Hospitallers kidnapped the Falcon warlock and forced him to live in their circular keep.

2nd UPDATE: Once a mighty & powerful Castle, Greensbury now lies mostly in ruins. The statue of a Knight out front being the only solemn reminder of the men who once fought here.

WOO-HOO! First reply... Sorry... from what was availble to see, folder wasn't open yet, this MOC is a good, open spaced, clear area castle. In other words, a drool worthy castle. I noticed some of the excellent details you place in the castle, like the skeleton in the cage.
When the folder is public, I'll go view it some more.

Beautiful. Simply beautiful. It fits perfectly with its surroundings, it has the feel of a quiet village, but it's a fortified keep as well. Excellent work!

Your MOC reminds me of that hilltop building/castle that the Cathars of southern France used aside from Carcassone. Looks great though and I really like the angled wall.

re castle!
AWesome, love the gatehouse, very similar to the ones I like to build. The round keep is of course pretty cool, can't wait to see the other pix.
The irregular shape is interesting to say the least, but I want to say the castle could use a tower on the right side wall between the gatehouse and the keep.
Very nice!

There is a LOT of unique architecture in this castle... that alone must have taken a lot of work. I really like the small effect too, though. Such as the skeleton, the stables, the well and the forest dude making use of those orange heads (i might steal that idea).
Cool!
Cool!

I love it, especially the turned walls and such. The round tower is awesome, it even have a number of levels within! It looks very, very realistic!
The only thing I reacted a little was that the stickers looked a little, pixely, but its just in close-up so no big deal.
I wonder how the christians come along with their warlock employee...

Hello!
That's a great castle in about all aspects, except for, well, of course I'm not too fond of custom factions :-)
The castle is really natural looking, it could be located anywhere in Western Europe, in England as well as in France. Very nice!
Bye

This is just the sort of nonsense up with which I will not put.

Great work! It appears to be castle week ; )
I like the red tudor exterior the best, and wells always intrigue me... I think I would have prefered the path in another colour but maybe that is just me... I also think some dk grey scattered in the walls (or some coloured buildings in the inside) would help to bring the keep in to the MOC more...
That said I really like it! And the generic 'castleness' is awsome and very applicabe to any surroundings...
God Bless,
Nathan

I like this castle a lot! It really looks like it was based off of a real castle. What most people forget is that castle walls - unless purposely designed as a concentric fortification - rarely had all the walls straight.
I think my favorite part is the stables, an area which I always seem to have trouble with. You have done a great job with them. I like the way you did the gates. (i may have to borrow that design)
plus you have a nice gibbet.

Thanks for all the compliments you guys!
Im sure the warlock's casting of spells had something to do with the overwhelming Black Falcon victory!
The Black Falcon's deserved their victory and they got their warlock back.Hope you don't mind me saying this but... Go Black Falcons!
