KK2 Chess set info for Jake

Post by architect »

Hi Everyone,

I recently bought 2 of the new Chess sets and my chess boards were not glued. So I asked Jake why some were glued and others were not. He would like us to post:

1. Region and country we purchased the set (ie: Missouri, USA) even if we ordered it from Shop at Home
2. If the boards were glued or not and how many copies we purchased.
3. Date of purchase

Ill pass this info on to Jake and he will forward it to the appropriate LEGO people to get a better answer for us. Thank you for your help.

It's possible that all of them were glued, but that the Herculean strength of Architect and Sir-Boris allowed them to seperate the pieces with ease. I can think of no other logical explanation.

12. Troy T. Moore - Saskatchewan, Canada- preordered 2 copies 12th June and 2 more copies 18 June, arrived from S@H this week 2 glued, 1 partly glued and 1 mostly not glued (however ther is evidence of glueing on the "LEGO" markings on the studs of the baseplate (chemical melting to create bond) but there was either too little glue or?)

13. wlister - Calgary, Alberta, Canada - Pre-ordered 4 copies on June 25th 2 fully glued, 2 partly glued. I removed all the pireces from one board, but there was evidence of glue on several studs, it looks the process they are using to glue isn't very efficient.
After a long absence, I have returned. I can't wait to start building again.
