Ive seen that, impressive, especially the amount of dragon crests! What are those "pauldron cloaks" from? A starwars set?

That guy has a hugely unfair amount of dark gray euro armor!

Pretty nifty. What jumped out me was his crumpled paper hills. Doesn't look too bad...

Riding through a defile all bunched up like that, they're asking to be ambushed.

Hmm, or maybe they are just the diversion for the main force?

Are you joking? The guys on the sides are looking at the sides, prepared with crossbows if anyone is stupid enough to ambush...

Battle of Morgarten, 1315. 1500 halbard-armed Swiss attacked an invading Austrian force two to three times greater than theirs while the Austrians were riding through a defile all bunched up. About a third of the Austrian force were mounted knights. Attacking downhill after a barrage of stones and rolling logs, the Swiss chopped the Austrians to bits with their halbards.

But yeah, that's an impressive set of fully armored knights mounted on barded destriers.

Poor guy. Think about the amount of hours and cash he spent on closing eBay and BrickLink deals to get all this armor and those classic dark gray flip-up visors and helmets.

Funny thing is that the blue and red chain mail guy with the grill helmet (the one that offers the proclamation or whatever to the white dragon feathered leader) looks like a Crusader knight robbed from his barding and his pride since the typical red and yellow crusader lion bardings are used by soldiers of the massive army!

Hi Jens,

By your comment I am assuming you are the owner of this great army. That is a very nice display, I am very impressed with the amount of dragon plumes and barding that you have, your cavalry looks very imposing. The paper hills are a very novel approach to displaying an army.

It is really too bad we are so far apart. I have about 150 euro armored knights and two large armies facing across a field always looks impressive. You definitely have more barding than me though, I have less than 25.

And Dan, Patience and carefully hoarded money can supply these kind of riches, I started with 40 armored knights 5 years ago and now I have many, many more! And I have only ever been rich in LEGO.

I'll take some pics of my troops today or tomorrow and post them in a new thread. It will take a little sorting to get them all looking proper though. I have about 125 Dk grey euro armor, 100 light grey and 60 black, so deciding which factions will have which armor will be fun. :D

Again very nice army.

Will
After a long absence, I have returned. I can't wait to start building again.
