Hi all,
We have a winner! Drumroll please . . .
Sir Nelson is the top MOCker for this contest, with his "Holy Grail" topping the list:
"In his search for rare minifig shield torsos, Ben disgards the most sacred relic. Bruce and Nate look on...."
Congratulations to Nelson and all of the entrants. Honorable mentions, in no particular order, go to:
eNIGMa 1: Nathan Locking a Post (an Outpost)
Sir Dillon 1: Nate's Barbarians Turn on Him:
Sir Nelson 2: Ultimate Wisdom:
I'll put a more extensive wrap-up of my personal thoughts on my blog.

What he said.LEGOFREAK wrote:Congrats to nelson! you rock dude!
you captured Bens determination to complete his collection perfectly, and I love the sense of movement in this vig...
Congrats! And hey, an honorable mention for me, that's pretty good.

First, I would like to say thanks to the CC Admins for this contest, and for finding my entries worthy of both Winning and of honorable mention!
Second, I wish to say congratulations to Sir Dillon and eNiGMa, and also to everyone else who entered! There were a lot of good vignettes here, and (trust me) I know how hard it can be to judge a contest like this!!!
I have informed Anthony Sava that I wish for my prize (the Purple Pod) to be donated to his Salvation Army drive for toys for the children affected by Hurricane Katrina. Thanks, Tony! (If you can donate a new LEGO set, I would encourage you to do the same!!)
Lastly, I am really surprised and honored by the number of hits on my Brickshelf pages for these vignettes. To be honest, I like "Holy Grail", too, because it is so simple, and the photos came out very well. As a building technique, trans-colored bricks (and slopes) photographed under natural light are very nicely captured in vignette images!
Again, thanks!

Congrats, Sir Nelson! A well-deserved win, for an obviously deserving person. On your vig (since I don't think I commented when you posted it originally): I really like the stained-glass window and the sense of movement, but what I like most is that you've demonstrated "tribal knowledge" about the admins that goes beyond simply representing their sig-figs in a funny situation. Very nice.Sir Nelson wrote:I have informed Anthony Sava that I wish for my prize (the Purple Pod) to be donated to his Salvation Army drive for toys for the children affected by Hurricane Katrina.
