You'll do just fine...I was nervous and all when I had mine out a few years ago. As long as they put you under, everything be a breeze. Remember, when you wake up from anesthesia, you are not quite yourself. Luckily your surgery and healing will go as good as mine. I was eating chinese food (and other solid foods for that matter) 10 mins after I left the Drs office and I didn't have to use any of the pain meds they gave me ( i guess I'm lucky I have a high tolerance for pain  ).

LOL

I always wondered what the experience was like - seems ok... ice cream, gifts, laying in bed for a little while with lots of attention and pity... :-)

Something tells me that's not the case though...

Tell us how it goes Darkie... is all the good news I've heard just a myth?

Boy, this is a fun topic. My sister had to get hers dug out a couple years ago, funny puffy cheeks followed, but I'm safe, my mouth is big enough for mine.... :D

If you wait long enough for them to make the rest of your teeth crooked, then just pulling isn't as bad, I think. Though I've had the pulling, and it's not that fun. It is kinda fun to see the dentist struggling with your tooth, really putting effort into it, and all you can feel is the pressure.

I wish you a happy, quick (Lego-filled) recovery.

Now I feel sorry for calling you Cruel Mistress :D
I'm lucky that I didn't have any quarrels with dentist. Get well soon and I hope you have a quick recovery.

Thank you all for your kind (or not so kind ;)) thoughts.

I'm actually doing quite well. I've only had to take one of my big bad pills, and that was the day of.

The truly cruel part is my mother is making steak for dinner, for my Aunt's birthday...

Ah well. More potatoes for me.

Now to convice my parents that it's okay if the Tooth Fairy comes....:D
