Asgard by AtomicBuilder

Brickshelf user AtomicBuilder certainly has a place for his Vikings when they die:

The rainbow just kinda drew me in, then bam! I nice looking hall (I assume it's Valhalla?). The farm is great, too, and the water with Jormungand is nicely done.

The rest of his gallery is pretty cool, too! :D

Now that is cool!

Just look at that tree! It's massive. I really like the tiles in the floor too. The rock wall is also really cool. I bet that took a long time to construct.

I don't know about that rainbow though, it's not to bad.

Hmmm...

That is a cool scene. The serpent in the water is very well done. So is the landscaping. I also like the house in this pic:

And this creature pretty menacing looking:

The hall in the other display cabinet is also nice.

Wow... I left myself open for that one!

But anyway, does anyone know what the name is for the creature psu_ericksen highlighted? It looks really cool.

that monster seems to be a giant werewolf, though I haven't a clue what it'd be called, I haven't run across anything like it in any books I've read. It appears to be eyeless, and those have got to be some pretty strong chains holding it down.
About the rest of the structure, this simply sems to be another case of too many brick coupled with too much time. I think it's interesting that he bothered to do the back of the display, usually something this huge doesn't have a backside. What I find really interesting is the hall done all in white. Compared to the standard tan and brown Viking halls, white gives it a nice etheral quality, gaps in the roof notwithstanding.

Azure, a saltire cantoned with a star in chief and in base and two crescents addorsed in the flanks, argent.

Hey Nathan,

Great pickup. I was just heading over to CC to post on this. The wolf monster in question is presumably Fenris.

Wow... this is really well built! I've actually never seen a LEGO rainbow, that's kind of interesting, but so are the monsters and bridges and landscaping and...

I think this will have to be bookmarked.

Wow, now I know why Lego equiped vikings with S.A.S.(strike amplifing sword)

Well, the rainbow is the bridge for the mortal world.

Nice scene 8)

Im just wondering what Leo is doing there with a few heater shields... And why Oden was inspired by the greeks when he built Valhalla.

The scale of this is really engaging and the tree is a massive build. I like the inclusion of the rainbow...it is often hard to incorporate anything background or skyline into a lego MOC. I wonder what the rainbow would look like in transparent form...

God Bless,

Nathan
