Another week, another dollar store find!
To this day, these are my only wagon wheels. Those, the kettle, the 2x2 black tile, and the 2x4 black brick are my favorite parts of this set.
Although very impractical, this set is nice for its size.

I never knew that there was such a thing.Sir Kohran wrote:generic Fright Knight soldier.
The minifig and 2x4 black brick is what makes this set awsome.

Cheap wagon wheels are always cool. Plus I never have enough pots. And this does include a lot of generic bricks and the fig isn't half-bad.

A nice set with good pieces, the cooking pan is great for civilian uses too.
Im not so fond of that the Dark Lord himself must do all the dirty work of servants... Pushing catapults. Yet its great because you get another Bat Lord.

Yeah....riiiiight!?!
I would agree that the piece selection is pretty usefull and the idea of a catapult cart would be nice, but the design here is pityable . I have no Fright Knight figs (or sets) due to the dark/space ages, but aside from the helmet (one or two is good I guess) I like the fig, especially the torso. I do have the Batlord's clothes though (helmet, shield, and cape), I gave them to an entirely black minifig with Vladek's head, works for me . I probably wouldn't have bought this set for the design, but again I did buy four of the new KK2 polybag catapult cart with the horses helmet for the wheels and pieces .

A decent set, considering the size, but what do we need with yet another bat lord?

Another ubiquitous catapult...
As far as polybag-ish Fright Knight sets go, this is one of the more plausible ones. But nothing more than that. And the Batlord fig is... tiring...
Parts: 7/10
Playability: 6/10
Figs/Accessories: 6/10
Design (then): 5.5/10
Design (now): 5.5/10

Another minor FK set! It's constant celebration for me!
It's a good set, especially when compared to that vile flying machine we reviewed a couple of weeks ago. The design is not perfect; it seems much heavier on one side than on the other side. I suppose that's good in a way, because there's less load to hold up for the cart pusher(or puller), but it still makes the design look clumsy. The fact that the lord himself is pushing the catapult is very awkward; it would be better if they put a simple soldier with it, like this one:
(This IS the generic FK soldier).
But then again, you can place one for one of those minifig -pack figures here, and use the bat lord for something else (you can never have too many bat lords). The set would be good in quantities, to be at the back of FKs' army.
The parts are also useful, especially the wheels and the kettle.
Overall:
Parts: 7/10
Playability: 9/10
Figs/Accessories: 7/10 (hardly any accessories!)
Design: 5/10
Nostalgia: 8/10
Overall Score: 7.2

Like most sets of this size.. it's mediocre. The design of the set is, of course, borderline useless. As always.. these sets are more 'extra pieces' than 'build and play.'
And yet another Bat Lord.. not too crazy about that. Although his torso really isn't bad.. it's just difficult to find enough uses for it to warrant the 50 Bat Lords found throughout the Fright Nights line. And I'm still trying to find a good use for that helm.
That said, still a good set for the price range its in -- but only really good for parts.

Forge not works of art but swords of death, for therein lies great art.

I got this set as a gift and I think it's good for a parts pack, but I don't like the batlord. I wish it just had one of the chain mail fright knights instead.

I must admit I haven't seen this set before.. I ended up ignoring the Fright Knights from the shere shock that Lego would do something that dreadful...that was before they changed the greys of course : )
