Yes, that's a LEGO store, they have them all over the world. I take it you've never been to one?

Yup, Carlos, the Lego stores are cool.

Here is a pic that my wife took at the Lego Imagination Center in Minnesota (at the Mall of America):

Unfortunately, there are no stores around me. Just imagine all the sets! Well... the internet is as good as anything else.

Unfortunately, no stores yet in Canada. The closest to where I am is Bellevue, Washington - but a trip across the border is a pain.

Quite understandable...interesting that the Bellevue store is closest to you. Its closest to me too. I live about a hour's drive south of the border in Washington and about an hour from the Bellevue store. Where are you at? The Bellevue store is one of the medium sized ones but it has a good selection. In fact it looks a lot like the one in Carlos' pic but slightly bigger.

That's what I was thinking when I saw the picture. It's not too bad a drive to the Bellevue store from the Vancouver area. I haven't done a drive just to go to the Lego store, but if I had the time I probably would. I'm lucky that I have very good friends that live about 15 min from the store, so I'll probably go down and stay overnight to do some Christmas shopping this month.

I have to say the most exciting thing about the Lego store for me is PickABrick. So much fun. Last time I loaded up for myself and my niece and nephew. Spruce trees, bushes, wheels, car bases, old grey, those little 2x2 windows, windows, doors, slopes, so many cool colours for the kids... endless fun! The staff was awesome too. They love it when you work at your technique for cramming as much as possible in the cups, and they urged us to fill them higher telling us they'd tape on the lids and that overflowing your cups was highly encouraged there.

Unfortunately, I live in Victoria, on Vancouver Island. If there was a store in Vancouver, I would be fine. I go over there often during the summer. But, it's kind of a stretch to 1h45m ferry over to Van, and then go down to Bellevue. Since I don't really know anyone in Bellevue/Seattle, and it isn't a day trip, I have never been able to get down there.

I used to live about 30 minutes away from the Legoland in CA, yet I moved before we could go there.... what a sad moment that was :( I was just a mere 30 minutes away from Legoland: the Land of Legos Galore. ARRGGG..... I'm still seething about that. ...... Well... I'm moving back to CA a few years up the road so I guess my situation isn't that bad.

Definitely. The staff there is awesome. The PaB is my favorite as well...I just love stuffing those cups! :)

Yeah, that is a bit of a stretch. I live near Mt. Vernon, so it isn't too bad of a drive for me. Although it was really cool one weekend. My wife and I got rid of the kids for the whole weekend and we got a hotel room in Bellevue. We did a bunch of shopping in mall and I bought lots of Lego. Then I spent the rest of the weekend building in our room. What a great weekend! :)

Yes, I can't say enough about how impressed I was with the staff there. I'd read other people's comments about other Lego stores that mentioned indifferent, disinterested, less than helpful staff, and that certainly wasn't the case in Bellevue. They loved to talk Lego, were extremely helpful and just a lot of fun!

Last time I was at the Bellvue store, I ended up with 5 PaB cups--three small and two large ones. The gentleman helping me was fantastic! (hint coming!)

The keep a lot of stuff in the back. Usually it's because there's not enough to fill a PaB wall container. It's good stuff, though. I ended up with rounded windows, green stems, clear 1x1 plates...Yeah. Great stuff. But you've got to ask. :D And they just keep bringing it out....

Ooooo, I love that hint, Darkie. Thank you! I definitely feel a Bellevue shopping trip coming on this month! :D
