This week’s set is 1289 Knight's Kingdom Catapult.

Well, not a lot to say about this set. I am a Bull fan (unlike many people) but there isn't anything special about this. Just another catapult of inferior design and the fig isn't unusual at all. It is a somewhat rare set, since it was only released in Japan, but I don't see any reason to hunt it down.

Never really looked at this set before...

Looking at it, it looks like one of the best little catapult/crossbow/whatever sets out there. The pieces here all appear to be moderately useful. As for the fig, I'm like JoshWedin, I'd like to have a lot of Bulls. (Doesn't mean they're a top-favourite them, mind you, but I would like to have a pile.)

Parts: 7.5/10
Playability: 6/10
Figs/Accessories: 7/10
Design (then): 6.5/10
Design (now): 6.5/10
Nostalgia: 6/10

Overall Score: 6.58/10

I suppose the value of this set would really depend on how much it would cost. As an army builder for Bull figs, it's not too bad. I prefer Image for a more generic bull figure. I must say I dislike this fig's head.

Being an army builder, it's hard to rate this set - especially since we have no price data.

As a cheap army builder, I'd give it a 8. But the set itself isn't something you ooh and ahh for. A 6 overall.

Overall.. it's not terrible as a little cheapy set. But really.. pretty lame catapult. One of the worst faces, in my opinion. And a torso I don't like. I can't see myself ever bothering to pick this up.

The only good thing about this set is that it comes with a relatively generic soldier, which is good for army building.

2/10, at best.

I have a feeling remarks on this "set" (small collection of bricks) will be very similiar to that above... An army builder, and if your a bulls fan, all the better for it!

I would buy this because I collect sets of all kind, and because I do like to have lots and lots of figs! I guess I'd give it something like a 6/10, although that may be a bit generous because I do like the bulls.

The catapult looks pretty lame and rather weak. This is somewhat understandable, seeing as it was meant to go with sweet packets, but it still makes this set look rather silly when viewed by itself. The figure is nice, but only if you like the Bulls.

Another catapult! This one seems to be more interesting, as it has that unique box piece. Also, it looks as though it rotates. And the crossbow is nice. However, I dislike the minifig's head, mostly because of the eyes. How can a person have shiny silver eyes with no definite boundary?

I like the red corner pieces used on the catapult. That would be my reason for buying this set, but it isn't a strong enough motivation to hunt this down...

I agree; its much better than KK2. the bulls are ok. But the head of this bull soldier is silly in my opinion. I also think that there are to many catapult in KK1 and KK2. The set would be better if it had a little sword, one of the old fassion type swords.

As 99.9% of this comunity I don't have this set, I don't intend to hunt it since because of it's rareness it will cost more then it worth so why bother....

I can easily make one if I want though, don't worth more then a 1$ like all those useless small set which are only good for the minifig

Hey all,

I just found this set (and the other three) on Ebay. Starting bid of $35.99 for all four. That is 8.99 per set, so that gives us some kind of price per piece guide for this set. Rather spendy for such a small set, with no rare pieces...

Awesome set i say! Huzzah for the bulls. The face that comes with this i have used so very much for so very many thing, it's so useful. 2 weapons with one guy isnt bad either, unlike some soliders that just come with one. This capapult wouldnt be the best for storming a castle but for small skrimshes it would be quite good. Fine, Fine set very rockingly awesome
