This is excellent news! I've never liked that (megabloking) Lenny and with the demise of Classic Castle, maybe people will return to lugnet.castle. WooHoo!

Well LEGO is always spelled right and so is Mega Bloks. This alone screams fake. I also don't believe that a newspaper would incriminate another company for wrongdoing in a preliminary story, but instead would have wrote "was selling secrets to a rival toy company". Finally, the reporter didn't make some stupid pun about how people care about LEGO.

All of this is what caught my attention first, but I was still worried, then I saw the date... April 1st. That was enough for me to think it was a joke.

Good point. I guess we'll just have to wait and see then, eh?

You fools have it all wrong!

The April Fools' Joke is that this ISN'T an April Fools' Joke- meaning that Lenny is a convicted Megabloks fan, and the Iron Reich subtheme is probably a Megabloks line in the test stages.

Oh, and for the purposes of safety, I will be changing my name. Can't be implicated in this matter, you know... Could mean that I'd be barred from LEGO stores and LEGOlands for life.

Speaking of Lugnet, wouldn't news this big be on other sites than Classic-Castle?

Assuming it really involves the 'bankruptcy of LEGO'

More importantly if this was REAL news... it would be on the Classic-Castle front page, and not the Royal Knights Castle. :P

You can stop trying now.

Wait. Didn't Lenny go to Florida State? This is totally believable then. I would expect something like this from a Seminole.

Nice article, admins.
Who the heck is Ralf Prisit? I searched his name up and got no hits except for 2 czech sites. More proof.

Don't you mean Eastern Block? The Iron Reich was created by Keith Goldman. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that this isn't real. Why? Hmm, I don't know, it just doesn't seem real to me.

Edit: Now that I read it again, it seems sort of un-newspaper like. Sort of like an author wrote it, trying to sound like a newspaper (I know, I've done it myself). An anagram for Ralf Prisit is April First.:P

Things like this are more fun when they come across as being absolutely genuine. The content of the article was just a tiny bit too over-the-top for me. It would have been better if LEGO was launching the civil action without a) naming Lenny as the leak, or b) implicating the sale of trade secrets. The simple violation of the NDA is serious enough, but the implied dealings with Mega Bloks sounds downright silly. Still, April Fool's is always good for a few laughs.

Til next year,

Later fools (there's a little fool in all of us afterall :P ).
