"Robin Hood:Prince of Thieves" is a good movie. I also like:
The Disney Robin Hood(With the animals!)
Timeline(People go back in time and get caught in a medieval war)
Shrek
Shrek 2
The Princess Bride
The Last Samurai
Also, there was one on T.V. a while ago... I think it it was called "The Jester" or something..really funny.

The Court Jester, starring Danny Kaye. It's been mentioned several times during the course of the thread (note proto-Wolfpack symbol Kaye's character wears at the start of the movie).The_Fright_Knight wrote:"Robin Hood:Prince of Thieves" is a good movie. I also like:

Depends from country to country. In sweden, due to the dub, its considered a classic. Why? Well, I dont know, but parts of the dialog has been running gags that occur in everyday dialog.Rubberchickenknight wrote:You deserve to be hanged!!!:shock:The Disney Robin Hood(With the animals!)
I like it, but of course, Ive never seen the english or any other version.

Yeah that is true. There are a bunch of english movies in other countries that are huge hits. The Hordesman wrote:Depends from country to country. In sweden, due to the dub, its considered a classic. About the movie, I liked it.
I just seen Kingdom of Heaven and Narnia recently, the costumes were well done. And King Richards appearance at the end was neat.
I despise Narnia.
I'd say my favorite would be one these:
Robin Prince of Thieves - I got that movie along with 6081 King's Mountain, 6042 Dungeon Hunters and 6077 Forestmen's River for christmas. What a time building and watching.
Monty Python And the Holy Grail - It's only a flesh wound! Genius!
LOTR Trilogy - Not some much for the accuracy but the acting and special effects were awesome.

Honestly, Narnia didn't really do it for me. C. S. Lewis' books are such classics, but they didn't really translate well to the silver screen. Sure, alot of the symbolism was there, but I found the movie just felt... empty. Of course, the costumes were fantastic! In fact, as far as costume design goes, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is as good as it gets (in my opinion).
As for Robin Hood. I don't mind the Disney cartoon, but I can't stomach Kevin Costner's version. Prince of Theives indeed!
Later.
