Here is my entry -

Across the river, the townfolk do not suspect an impending attack. A patrol goes about its business.

The patrol is attacked by Dark Knights. Facing overwhelming odds, they retreat to the bridge. The dark lords arrive, and raise the fallen soldiers to do their evil bidding. A fierce battle for the bridge ensues, with even the townfolk on the defense.

Way to go pitchfork! No wonder it is such a sought after accessory.

The lord and his knights arrive. Who will win?

I hope you enjoy it :D

I really only have the basic (old) colors.    Hope you like it... The guy with the hat as you might expect is a mage. This battle is called "Fight through the Pass."

wish i coulda made somethign like the jungle surprise... but hey finding out 6 hours before deadline doesnt leave you with many options. so here is a nice simple (yet well done) battle

The Royal Knights face the Dragon Knights

so we have the two sides charging at eachother. the king and the main dragon (red plumes nice cape) are walking twords eachotehr with eyes locked. the crossbowmen are fireing at eachother and then one dragon guy cut some peasants head off ( i added teh peasent after i took half teh pics so i didnt include him) and is runnign to give it too the leader... he is easily distracted...

so yea tahts basically it

good luck to everyone. you might se a sort of blacktron dudes with katans fight later but i dono if i will stay up that long

good luck and may it be a close race!!

hope I'm not too late

Post by Suvied »

Last minute I know but you do what you have to. If I am too late oh well. The folder hasn't modded yet so all I have are rushed/blurry/poorly lit pictures. You do what you can with what you have available.

Start here Far East Gallery

Between my camera being nearly out of battery power and having unexpected company coming over for dinner I almost didn't get this finished.

The only custom (LEGO ropes cut) are the nunchuks (bad spelling I know). It isn't based off of anything so I have no idea if it reflect the culture accurately. Ninja and samurai fighting is just too cool so it shouldn't matter right?

Hope you enjoy the entry. If you have comments please send them to me via PM. I would like to hear what people think.

It is currently 11:45 CST here in Duluth, MN. If that makes me too late then oh well it was fun anyway.

Edit: to replace with full gallery link

Ugh, so last minute here...

Now to wait for it to go public...

EDIT:
Here's a thumbnail at least.
Image

Falcon Fortress: Bulls + Undead VS Dark Falcons. Complete with a fully detailed scenery, siege weapons, spiked pit man traps, and a mostly detailed interior!

I would have done more action setup if I had the time, but unfortunately construction work took more time than was expected.

Great photos BreadMan: Clean, sharp, vivid! And nice backgrounds. I like the torso skeleton soldiers :)

Suvied: Yay for ninjas. Are those nun chaku??! Very nice :)

stawastawa, it's nice to see the dragons in full regalia.

BTW, I'm seeing a number of photos going larger than 800x600... might be good to fix that so your entries are valid.

Yes. I like the details here.

Jim: Cool sequences. Love the maces.. such a simple design creating a good looking weapon, and quite appropriate with darker armies.

SuperRadz, I am really impressed with your giant skeleton character. Great hand details.

Stone Goblin - Nice trees! Mind if I steal?

I think this is without a doubt my favorite entry ever. Stone Goblin's is huge and lush, but you so well captured the feel of a mist swamp and the two sides charging down the slope and wading through the middle is great - the landscape doesn't take away from the action here, which was, I think, my main problem with StoneGoblin's creation.

Great Work Everybody!

No sir, I don't mind at all. All my work is free for all to copy. I do appreciate credit, but it's not needed.

Reason my entry has a lot of plants is to conceal the ambush. But I do agree there are places where I think I used too much and made it hard to pose figures in certain places. Meaning some figures are standing on plants in the shots if you notice.

Breadman your Battle of Mistguard moc looks like those paintings of battles with the help of the background colors and the champion standing out amongst the chaos. Great work! :D

Pep and I are going to redo parts of the Falcon Fortress. Like the main stronghold, minor details and of course a larger battle with twice the figures. Of course the new version will not count for the contest.

Great mocs everybody! :D I can't wait for the next one. Must go build. :)

Peppermint Pig- your entry is really cool, as are all the others. I wanted to say that I think Breadman's should win one of the prizes, and maybe Goblin's and Pep's entries too. Great entries everyone, I like all the diversity this contest has shown.
