It was a Dark and Fiery Knight...

Post by JoshWedin »

I was inspired by Enigma's use of the Batman cowl in his Fright Knight Shaman. So I made my own Dark Knight:

I may have to invest in one of those cowls. That's one minifig I wouldn't wanna meet in a dark alley. It doesn't matter what you pair the cowl with it will still look creepy.

I wish I had that many fire peices...

Wow! Thats one hot looking MOC :D What did you use for the head? I haven't bought any batman yet, but with MOCs like these popping up, I get more and more curious. Good job!

Very neat. You have a lot of those flame pieces!
What did you use for the head?
I believe it's a Darth Maul head.

That's really (and I mean really) cool. I'm pretty sure that that is Darth Maul's head. When I saw the thumbnails, the reflection from the flame onto the sword looked like blood. Glad to see you could use some BURPs for something, and I wish I had that many flames, because I'm trying to make a fire creature (which was inspired by El Fuego). Looks great overall.

Learning French.

Say it "ESS-MICK-GIN-ISS", with a hard "G", as in "get".

Well, you know you've earned a place in the community once you've inspired someone! :D

This guy looks way cool (or is it hot?). I am curious, though--what head did you use? To me it looks like a UFO head.

Great work!

Thanks for all the replies! The head does belong to Darth Maul. I was sticking various heads into the cowl and I noticed that points above his eyes showed up in the cowl's eye holes. I thought it looked cool, so I had to build a complete fig. Glad you like it!

I have never seen one of the torso's he is wearing in red before. Is it a rare piece or was I just completely blind to its existence?

Blind, I guess. :) It does exist, I think this one originally had blue arms but it does exist. Here is a link to all the sets it came in. Scroll down to the bottom for the red ones.

Awesome! I'm thinking about 15 bucks worth of fire pieces in this vig, and the use of batman's helm is completely wicked.

Now who's the one who said Batman's mask couldn't be used for castle? :D

Keep up the good work.

BURPs aflame!!!

The fig is definitely the focus in this scene, and -- along with Enigma -- you've proven the usefulness of the Batman cowl. Very cool.
