Great idea!
Great detail!
Superior skill!
One can possibly write a novel just by looking at this ..... (sorry, the other users just wrote all the compliments I know ). I have never spent such a long time looking just one creation in my life!

Not to speak in name of the builder, but I think his idea was to make the arches look like Gothic pointed arches or ogives, which were quite common in the middle ages.SavaTheAggie wrote:Oh man... Excellent work, I must say. I appreciate the unique-ness of the two gate houses, and how you went for the different styles of each of the factions. I also like how you connected the blue baseplates with blue plates, but took the extra step in making the seam stitch look like waves. The climbing vines are also a nice touch.
As a point of criticism, I think I would have done the arches slightly different. I think I would have started the inverted 33 degree slopes one brick lower, using only 2 inverted 45 degree slopes instead of 3. The arches look a bit too high and pinched, and I think if you were to lower the 33 degree slopes the arch would look more semi-circular.
That's just about the only thing I'd change though. Fantastic work all around.

Fantastic bridge, Jacob C.! The towers are really well done, and as Bruce said (sorta), the inset arches are great. The arches of the bridge are very nice as well. I must say that I like the Black Falcons' tower better, although the Crusaders' is very cool too. I think it's the brown roof with the red that makes it the lesser in my eyes. The ripples in the water are a neat detail, and the raft is quite good. I love the ivy growing up all over, plants are something I really enjoy. The sort of marshy land on both sides is very cool, although it looks better on the Crusader side. The only thing I don't like about this is the pattern of the 1x1s on the bridge. It just looks too...well...patterned, I guess.

Hey great work. I seem to have missed this one here on the forums, so pretty much I can only agree with what others have said.
I saw this on brickshelf and headed straight over to see if it was posted. Very nice work, I love the idea and the execution is superb. I can't wait for another one of your MOCs!

Awesome! I totally agree with everyone else. This is a great idea and you added a lot of detail to it.
Hope to see more of your MOCs!!!

Excellent, good idea. Nothing new to add. It would be cool though, if you have enough figs from each faction to have a battle for the bridge. As long as the crusaders win, things will be fine.

Yea, I prefer the higher pointed arches. Not to speak in name of the builder, but I think his idea was to make the arches look like Gothic pointed arches or ogives, which were quite common in the middle ages.
Thanks for the rest of the compliments.
I won't be taking this down anytime soon since my schedule is full, so I might end up doing that battle scene afterall.

Okay, I'm joining this conversation a bit late, but I really do like this MOC a lot! Adding a ton of minifigs can only make a good MOC great!

Great job Jacob!
I can't add much more to the previous posts, the details are wonderful. I think that I like the views of the 'back' of each gatehouse from the land side, looking across the bridge to the opposing faction best.
