Wow. Jaw drops to floor. I will want a few of these.

I really like that the colors red and dark blue were chosen. This reminds me a lot of Black Monarch/Black Knight generic soldiers. Finally this is a way to get a large army of soldiers. It could only be improved by giving Brunhilda buns to the queens (Tan Princess Leia hair)

*slips to the ground and then manages to get up*

WOW! Man, this is an excellent set...just excellent. All those juicy Viking figures gathered in one place. Weapons, helmets, fantastic.

Also, it's done in the same way as the KK2 Chess set...I see war brewing.

Thanks, Lego. More proof that 2006 is an excellent year for Castle.

And thanks to babyjawa for finding this. You made my day.

This is so cruel..... why isn´t it available in Sweden?!

Wonderful... simply wonderful.... but why? Why not in Sweden......? (and not available in Denmark either... strange... we are supposed to be the vikings after all... :? )

I can die happy now. After I get this set, of course!

It looks to me it's darkblue/sandblue/darkbley versus red/darkred/black. Sweet. Colors looks so much better than the KK2 chess set (which was still a fine set.)

I'm thrilled to see the pawns have axes and spears, and not KK2 swords. There are KK2 swords there, but I'll manage.

Dark blue capes...my precious...

My one complaint that my favorite torso, the one with the maille, is missing. Oh well. Perhaps we can hope for a second Vikings chess set?

Oh man.... This seriously made my day. This is *the* best minifig pack of the year! And what's great is that we can finally get a lot of one torso in a set--something the other Viking sets don't have. For someone like me, who has never had a uniform army, this is a miracle.

Thanks for finding this, babyjawa!

And thanks for making this, LEGO!

(thud).

Sorry, that was the sound of me hitting the floor.
*picks self up*

Lego, This is FANTASTIC!! If it hadn't been for those silly baby-blue helmets I would have bought the KKII set, but this is - like - WOW!

I'm not into Vikings - Well, I wasn't. I'm in two minds wether to use this as a cheap set of figs for my "Dark Blue" castle faction or to move into vikings. So you've got another customer hooked...

This is the sort of set we like to see lego... ARE YOU LISTENING?! 8)

It's due out in the US on the day after my birthday - If it had been out in the UK (where I live) it would have made a lovely B'day present for myself, obviously.

That's it. I need to go lie down in a darkened room
My Other sig is funny. Honest.

Not available in The Netherlands, alas...

How about the other queen getting tan Padme Naberrie long hair? Oh well, reddish brown should be fine too.

Now this is a mini-fig pack I definitely like!
I didn't like the KK2 chess set, so this is a definite improvement.
I'll be buying a few for sure.

They must be.
Now if only we can convince them to do a Black Falcon vs. Crusader chess set!
