Goblin elephant

Post by nazgul »

Many of you said that you wanted to see a moc from me in my "Hi, I'm such-and-such" post; so I just decided to finally getting around to making one-

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=199323

I was looking around my desk for something to start with for a moc, and all I ever really noticed was my lone elephant and a yoda. Thus the freaky goblin elephant was born. While I admit the "standard" itself is sort post-apocalyptic themed. But when I look at it, I simply figure: they're goblins, what the hey.

Edit: I meant to post this at first but I forgot; my brother said something pretty funny about my usage of the yoda head-
"your goblins are strong with the force"

Yoda as a goblin, what has the world come to. Although he does make a pretty good goblen, I'll admit. I like the whole skeletal thing on the top; it give it the feeling of evil. Good job.

I like the skeleton the most. What is it, some sort of minotaur or boar-man? Could you take a non-dead pic please? Also, the dark blue viking torso looks really good with the black sleeves and the sand green skin. The elephant's saddle-thingy (forgot the name) is cool too.

When I started building the skeleton I had no idea what it would end up as, but I suppose it's meant to be a crude image of their god; right now I think it supposed to be a human's body with a boar's head. The idea behind the skeleton is that they would find random bones of certain creatures and then they assembled them to represent their diety.

 Like I said, very evil.

Nice! I really like the idea of using Yoda as a goblin.

I must admit that I, too like the skleton thing the best.

Keep the Mocs coming!

Cool! Just hope a strong breeze don't come along.

The skeleton is well done, and the goblin is pretty neat. You should try brown arms though, look more like rusted mail.
I ow it to wunztwice for directing me here.

Whoa, nice little mumakil you have there :D
Yeah, that skeleton construction is favourite thing of mine,too...
But I'm not a fan of using heads which has it's own unique purpose...
Everything else is pretty good.

Sweet! I like the skeleton. It's really skeletony.

I also like that he's drumming. The drums are very base, right? Of course they are. Creates suspense. Who doesn't like suspense.

Nice banner. However, I don't like using Yoda heads for goblins, they look too much like, well, Yoda! I'd sugesst swapping it for a Dobby head.

I dont like the use of dobby heads, yoda heads, or the harry potter goblin heads for orcs or goblins. They dont give them the fierceness of what an orc and/or goblin should be. BTW Nazgul, do you have an army to put the elephant with? If so you shold post it as well.
