Q*Bert vignette
"Old Wizards never die, nor fade away. They just kind of operate behind the scenes and in the shadows... doing all of their weird and wonderful Wizardy things and whatnot."

Creepy... from the thumbnail I thought it was a screen capture from the real game...
Great job! I've never actually played Q-Bert myself, but I recognized it immediately.

I must confess that I haven´t a clue as to what that is supposed to look like but I presume it´s some really old computer game or something.
Looks very sleek and nice though

Same here. I assume the swirly paddle-thingies are teleporters? Very cool. I like the figs, but the really great part is the cube structure. Awesome vig.Maedhros wrote:I must confess that I haven´t a clue as to what that is supposed to look like but I presume it´s some really old computer game or something.

Learning French.
Say it "ESS-MICK-GIN-ISS", with a hard "G", as in "get".

Wow! Now there's a blast from the past!
I played this way back when, and I remember being so frustrated with this game. Great job recreating this early video game, Sir Nelson. I would've never thought of doing something like this. Being that the old school video games were so blocky and lacking in detail, LEGO is perfect to MOC these.
Gee... I wonder where I put my Atari 2600?

Grrr... a good year of childhood anger and frustration surfaced as soon as I saw this creation... this game huanted me for some time... it was way too hard for me to play!
>deep breaths<
That aside, I love the Atari 2600 days, and it was really cool to see Q-Bert in a LEGO creation! I like the way you made the cubes studless - really gave the feel of those glowing cubes I spent days falling off of while playing Q-Bert...
Nice Q-Bert too... I like how you made his nice 'lil nose most of all~

I have to be honest, I had never played, seen, or even heard of Q*Bert before you posted this. Although on the other hand the "cubes"(is that what they're meant to be called?) are really nice and the carrot is nice and inventive. So...
Besides having neither played the game or heard of it, it's a very nice moc.

edit: I just found a version of Q*Bert online and I played a little bit. Now I have to be perfectly frank- I stink at that game. Oh well, first time for everything...

Boy, you kids know how to make a guy feel old!!
I grew up with 8-bit games, and they still rule! (Thanks Tristram and Ottoatm, for knowing who Q*Bert is!)
Nazgul's right... you can download or play Q*Bert online. Here is a link to a Flash Version of Q*bert if you'd like to try it.
It's a simple concept, but it can become rather frustrating. Truth be told, I stink at this game, too.

Know... how can I forget. heh heh heh...
Wow... that mouse capability makes the game a lot easier! Now I can just blame everything on Atari's controllers, and not my gaming skills!
Playing the game made me realize, that snake dude (I forgot his name) would look really cool as a brick-built monster on your vig... but otherwise, still lovin' that vig (but biased against the game )
