small castle and viking hut from BentCreations
Hey all,
New Brickshelf member Bentcreations has posted a small castle:
He calls it the "Split castle from the Ronja Rovardotter movie".
He also has a Viking hut:
Anyone know who this builder is? I'm sure they'd enjoy our forum.

Never heard of them, but I REALLY like their style. Excellent usage of foliage, and a nice "classic" feel to much of the building.

What I like the best at the fortress, are actually minfigs... I've always tought that Wolfpack are abandoned brothers of forestmen, I like too see them working together (or they fighting each other?)...
Nice concept, I like separated hill, with it's pieces connected with that sweet bridge...
As for the Viking Hut, I can't remeber when I saw use of FRC baseplate in MOCs, it's really magnificent piece that works well here, too...
Plantish roof with all it's flowers is a really nice touch...
I like how he set up the scene...

These MOCs are very nice. The viking hut is a quaint peak at perhaps what little life a viking warrior has outside of the army. Though, with that beast laying in wait, there seems to be no escape from battle!
The small castle is very well done for its scale.
Both MOCs are superb.

What a couple of cool MOCs! My favorite is the Viking hut, the wolf even looks good in this setting. The split castle is a neat idea (never heard of the movie though) and this looks very well executed. Very nice.

These are very cool. I like the split castle a lot, it's really great looking, and the story looks interesting. The viking hut is awesome. I love huts, I love vikings, so, it's awesome.

[shameless self promotion] Definately going to be stealing that Viking hut design when I get around to writing the next JT adventure: Johnny Thunder and Valhalla's Stepchildren [/shameless self promotion]

Oooh, awesome stuff. The creator is from some scandinavian country since the Viking Hut's filenames are "vikinghus" (hus meaning House, not hut). And the Folder for the Castle is "Mattisborgen" (borg = Castle/fortress). Mattis is the person who lived there. My best guess would be that the builder(s) are Swedish cause thats where the "Ronja Roverdotter" come from. If it was Norwegian it would probably stand "Roverdatter".
+ Bent is a not a typical norwegian name. More Swedes are named that.

The hut is very cool. I love the sod and flowers on the roof (somewhat reminds me of braveheart, I know wrong place...) the "hiding" fernis is also a funny touch. However I don't think he would use his battle axe to chop wood at home.
The other castle is also constructed very well. Definately a personal creation, but very much reminiscant of older lego sets! Well done on both, I will probably use some ideas from these.
