I've got another question. Are we allowed to use BrickForge/Brickarms parts in our entries? *crosses fingers*

From the bottom of the 'categories and prizes' page:
Custom stickers may be used for minifigure torsos, shields, and flags. You may use custom weapons only in the Custom Castle Figure and Miscellaneous categories. Brick built, custom, and LEGO animals can be used.

So those things count as "custom weapons"?

Also, if I build a ship for the Medieval Mariner category, does it have to be on a base of some sort? And are scenes built on something like a "radar dish" acceptable?

Yes. Anything that is not a LEGO product counts as a custom.

Sure. Here, for instance, are two winning entries from various categories in previous years - one just a ship, the other set in a scene:

Not sure exactly what you mean. Do you mean something like this? That's not on a radar dish, but an x-pod case, but I could imagine similarly using a large radar dish as a base. If so, sure, as long as you are within the size limit for a givin category.

Thanks for answering all my questions. :)

I haven't gotten out a ruler, but I'm guessing that's well within the 32x64 size limit. If it isn't, though, it could easily be moved into the misc category.

 So anything can be used as a base? Cool. *tries to think of more interesting pieces to use for bases*

"Medieval Mariner
Build a scene featuring life with the sea. Ideas include ships, seaports, lighthouses, etc."

Does it include lake or lakeside life?

Hm. Yes... Does it?

I would also like to ask if the Technological Advance category would allow us to enter fictional advances, as in things that were actually invented, but not used for the purpose I would utilize it for?

Thankee,

No. It should be life on a sea or ocean.

No. The technological advances must be real inventions made by people in medieval times.

I should have introduced myself elsewhere, but...
I go by Jevil, and I am an Avid AFOL, and I discoverd your lots' site back in 2005 I believe, if memory serves me, and from there I have rekindled my love for Lego, and Lego Castle (pirates as well, but there's another forum for that. TWO actually XD )

So as I was lurking here for some time, between reading through the Kingdom of Ikros saga (Which was a MAJOR inspiration by the way) I saw this CCC deal, and thought it would be fun to enter, seeing the wide range of MOCs. So today, I stepped out of the shadows of obscurity and entered 2 models, one in the Miscelaneous category, due to it being under a 32x32 stud diameter, and the other one in Medival Mariners.

I only have 2 questions:
1: How often is the entries list updated,
and
2: Would the 'Pocket Castle' be considered a Brick castle?

A bit redundant; and I thought I had more to ask. Guess not.

Entries are usually updated within a week if there are not errors (too many images, broken links, images that are too large, etc). Your brickshelf folder is not public yet so I can not determine if it should go in the Brick Castle category.

I have 2 questions: Are you allowed to put a building that you have already entered, into a new MOC and enter that?
Like entering a ship and then puting it in a bigger MOC like a harbor?

My second question is: Does the castle MOC that you build out of parts of a official set (in the Alternate Universe category) have to be a medievel castle MOC or can it be set in a modern time period with a castle in it?

Thanks! I have had a jolly time building MOCs for your contest.
