Out of curiosity, what happened to the CCC Shop category that was a staple of the earlier contests? (not criticizing here, just asking)

You should always try to submit in the correct category. Admins will move entries that need to be moved.

No, but use an email you check regularly. If we can not contact a winner, it will be hard to collect a prize

In the past we had shop categories when we were giving away shops. Every year eliminate some categories and create new ones. The shop category certainly could return another year.

It definitely does not qualify because it was written in modern times. This is a castle contest and not a Tolkien contest. You may enter LOTR mocs into the miscellaneous category.

I think it would depend on which part. Most of the Fellowship of the Ring would probably fit.
is yarn allowed?

i know cloth is allowed for capes or sails and custom stickers are allowed in a couple categories, but is yarn (or string) that isn't lego allowed?

Argh, I shouldn't have shown Iron Guard Keep because it would be a good entry to the fortifications category (except I would make a scene of the mine in action!).
ah well. Happy building and good luck! I'm not a big fan of large contests so I'll probably enter one category if any.

Can an entry be the effort of a pair or group, or does it have to be only one person working on an entry?

Thank you for anwsering me previous questions. I got another question though:
Are fantasy elements allowed in the castle spaces category?
