That soldier is awesome... I don't see any reason to buy more than one of the magician though. But I'll definately be buying a few of the soldier.

That euro armor on the weapon rack doesn't look like it has any printing on it..wow I'm getting at least 20 of these.

I love having a new magician color to work with. I have sooooo many black magician hats I ought to use them to replace knobs on my amp.
And as for the knight. Oh boy!
That's just too cool. I will probably spend every extra three dollars I have layin around on them.

I just want to buy them in bulk.

Well right now my rabble is pretty pitiful compared to most real lego armies...excluding crown knights, my most powerful factions are bull knights, lion knights, and black knights at 13-14 each (not counting unassigned troops). When my BL orders come in, I'll have 38 crown infantry and 19 mounted knights (complete coincidence that i have a 2-1 ratio...just noticed it in fact). My "dark age" didn't end till towards the end of KK1, and KK2 left a pretty sour taste in my mouth, so i haven't been able to build an army till now. And actually I plan on getting more like 40 of these things and probably even clean the shelves everytime I walk into a Wal-Mart/etc
My only quibble with the knight impulse set is that it doesn't have the broad brim helmet...in the metallic silver, it's definitely my favorite infantry hat. though I'd love to see one in black....
oh and actually my fright knights are my strongest non-crown now at 16...forgot i got some more...

Does anyone know if these sets will be sold on the LEGO website or no?

I hope so, but if they aren't, I imagine Wal-Mart and such places will have them on those little hangers.

I thought I would add additional thoughts with links, thank you Classic Castle
It appears that set
5616 the knight contains 20 pieces and the wizard
5614; 16 pieces
As far as Army builder sets go my favorites were always those with multiple weapons able to fully equip the subject sets knight as well as providing for additional weaponry to others i.e.
6004 Crossbow Cart 20 pieces http://www.classic-castle.com/sets/archives/6004.html
6028/6029 Treasure Guard 22 pieces http://www.classic-castle.com/sets/archives/6028.html
1287/4801/4811 Defense Archer 14 pieces http://www.classic-castle.com/sets/archives/1287.html
One of my great hates of the genre of sets was the constant use of carts. Set
5616 appears to me to stand alone in the army builder category as it has multiple weapons, helmets and printed torso/euro amour. The only other army builder set I can think of this caliber is the Black Knight from way back in 1992:
6009 Black Knight 19 pieces
http://www.classic-castle.com/sets/archives/6009.html
Set
6009 had a great and relatively unique minifig head, the
5616 knights head in my mind is the weakest link in this set.
If a horse was include in
5616 the end product may have looked more like the Royal king from 1995 without all the additional weaponry and helmets:
6008 Royal King 11 pieces http://www.classic-castle.com/sets/archives/6008.html
Request for next army builder set please reference;
1624 King's Archer 21 pieces http://www.classic-castle.com/sets/archives/1624.html
Question about current set is it confirmed that this will with the exception of
6009 be the only 20 piece set with euro amour and the only set with one minfig and two helmets.

That is were I found the 4811 Defense Archer. These new sets are very nice and I'll be saving up for them now.

Since the pictures are getting bumped way down the eurobricks page, I thought we could post a picture here too:

Everyone has been saying that, though I don't know where that idea came from...?
The wizard does, however, appear to have a new starry torso...

As others have mentioned, 5615 will be an excellent army builder (or army upgrade). As for the mage/wizard, I would have preferred it if he had none of the starry print...

While I agree that the wizard pack is less appealing, I did notice what seems to be a
new round plate piece as the table top!
I am so very glad LEGO has decided to go ahead with these sets. I have a hunch that these just might sell pretty well...

I will have to make room in my budget for
at least 10![/b]
