I got my 40 dudes...didn't get a shipment notification, but saw the giant package on the porch today (wish they'd used bags instead of boxes like they did with the defense archer). I'm using the soldiers for archers, and using the armor for soldiers similar to that Jayko knight, except I just ordered a bunch of dark blue legs and this torso (though i still need 20 more x.x): Image...Now I can finally have knights just like the ones in the movie First Knight *joy*

With all of this silver armour, I'm wondering if I should consider re-arming my other factions with new stuff. Next to the Crown Knights, the Lions and their dark grey helmets look pretty dull.

Alright, I take it all back - the Lego Gods smiled on me today and my order showed up at the post office :D

Merry Christmas to me.

Now, obviously I haven't had time to debox/debag and sort them yet, so I assume you just meant a pic of the boxes:

Sorry for the less than quality photo - most of my Lego is hidden away (my wife says they do not count as decorations) and I am starting to run out of room.

When I get more of the army built, then I will show some more pics; which will likely be much later as I am still in acquisition phase at the moment.

It took me a good hour just to sort the 20 that I ordered. Judging by the size of your order, it'll take you 3+ hours!

Definitely in my top ten best castle sets of all time. And it beats the pants off of the Defense Archer not only because of the suit of armor instead of the extra crossbow, but because if I buy forty copies of THIS set, I won't have forty 4x4 black turntables to deal with. Sigh... I hate 4x4 turntables...

I initially started to collect LEGO Castle only for the mini figures. The accompanying catapults, wheels, turntables and chests were often repetitive and unnecessary for me. I agree that 5615 The Knight as a single mini figure set is the best since 1287/4801/4811 Defense Archer in the last 7 years and for the reason above is superior.

Its been a long time(7 years) that I felt I should buy multiple sets of Lego Cartle. I was last inspired by the Viking Sets before the current Crown Knights.

Other generic knights sets I considered to be good examples that purchases of multiple sets could easily be justified included:

6004 Crossbow Cart 20 pieces - $??

1624 King's Archer 21 pieces - $2.19

1480 King's Catapult 32 pieces - $??

6009 Black Knight 19 pieces - $3.25

I didn't keep track of how long it took me to debox 40, but I didn't entirely sort them....I assembled all the knights, sorted the armor/weapons/shields, and just dumped the rest in a ziplock bag :P

Sweet, just what I've always wanted! Seriously though, nice collections of impulse knights. I've only got one, so far.... ;)

I made my monthly pilgrimage to the Lego store today, and they were out of this set! I only wanted to pick up one or two...

Got enough other good stuff that it was worth it though.
