I used to use yellow 1x1 round plates as coins, and 1x1 trans plates as gems. (Back then that was the best you could do. :D And IIRC some official sets used both yellow and trans plates as loot.) As others have said, I kind of treated different colors as different values, red and green being pretty common and less valuable, then yellow, then blue and white.

Now I would use more of the specialized parts, gems, coins, crowns, and other shiny chrome bits.

Given the trend of nations today to use paper and coin not backed by precious metal, I just assume say that regular 1x2 tiles (green, etc) and 1x1 round plates are acceptable as 'money'. Of course, all the precious jewels and gold are worth more! :)

And 1x1 tiles are credit cards. "Sorry, we don't accept the blue card here!"

I consider that I have to many of the trans gems and gold coins as is now, the more you accumulate the larger you have build your treasury room in your keep to safe guard them, consider it the philanthropist in me that:.

I would always be happy donate my yellow 1x1 round plates to use in half timber construction like in Crossroads Tavern:

and the 1x1 trans plates for cathedral window construction:

Wow tons of great ideas guys. This is great.

I use Chrome Swords as very strong weapons...i kinda have like weapon classes

Brown = wood

Grey= steel

black = iron

All trans. weapons, hold magical properties. Example a red lightsaber = Fire staff.

Chrome weapons are fused together with magic and steel.

Excuse me for the stupid question, but what is the element that is near the gold dinner plate, that kind of looks like a ball with a spike on top?
That is a Scala perfume bottle.

Oh yeah, I had forgotten until I read this, but when I was a kid, the trans "shields" from this set were always magic shields:

(Well, I guess they still *are*, if I can figure out where I put them. :D )

Back then those things were really special, because there weren't many trans or chrome weapons.

Old grey bricks are the most valuable commodity. I guess you could say that most of my castle MOCs are "made with gold" :wink: .

As for real treasure (crome bricks, jewels etc); I really don't make much use of those things. They just don't do anything for me as I rarely have 'treasure rooms' or anything like that. Simply a few chests with a few trinkets is more than enough for even the largest of my castles.

I use chrome-gold, chrome-bronze, and chrome-silver parts and pieces as treasure.
