However, everyone loves big walls, and massive armies.
EDIT: Just saw the renovations, and I must say, they are much much better. Now I like it, however; I still feel this is getting a little too much wowing.

In fairness, most people are quite positive about most MOCs. The builder has put a good deal of effort into this and for some people size does matter. Not many of us (heck, almost none of us) have the bricks to build on this scale. I've been working on a castle for almost two years now that is half that size, so I can definitely understand the wows. It's a good MOC. Sure, the landscaping may not be up to say Rebel Rock's standards, but in fairness how many builders can match that level of detail, particularly on such a huge scale?
While the size is impressive, for me the "wow" factor is in the interior details scattered throughout. Good interiors can be created for any size creation - small or large. To remember to add small details in such a large building is a definite bonus.

There is a thread about the reconstruction
Here. Further discussion about it should probably be in that thread.

You make a point, but shouldn't someone be able to express the way they feel about a creation and back it up with specific reasons, without being criticized? While most people are quite positive about MOC's, I feel that negative stuff should not be criticized, as long as nothing in the thought was mean or hurtful. I didn't say anything mean or hurtful, I just expressed why I don't feel this is as good as people say it is. Yes, I agree that it is truly a piece of work and it's certainly far beyond what most can construct, however; I feel as though these types of castles are praised far too often for what they're worth.

This is very impressive indeed. I think that there is so much detail, that you can look at this thing for a long time, and still find something new in it.
I especially like the
execution scene.

Incredible moc. The size is just.....amazing. And there are so many details in it, yes here is another one: Wow!
I really like that this is not just a large castle moc, but also has lots of life into it. So many people doing their thing...its really cool to look through all the pictures.

Wow! After looking at a lot of pics I think it's awesome!! The houses are really cool. I think it would be fun to play with. The whole thing is just amazing! I love how each minifig looks like they are doing something (makes it seem more like real life). Overall the MOC is just WOW!

I absolutely love the little houses inside the castle. This castle is still one of my favourites - it's well-proportioned and the buildings are arranged in a truly aesthetical and life-like way. I agree, however, with Prince Imdol that this MOC suffers from the Big Gray Wall Syndrome, its colours are a bit monotoneous. Anyway, I still love it, and with some detailing and colour-rearranging it could be turned into the coolest castle MOC ever.
