I have 2 dwarfs right now, but I'm getting more slowly. They don't really fit in my current "castle world" so I haven't really been actively trying to get them, but the two I did get with sets I like enough to keep.

i got 4 from the mine set. I really want more dwarfs, but havent gotten the change lately to buy some more, because other things had higher priority.
But i really want to get something like 20-30 dwarfs....i hope they will bring out more different models. Currently there are only 4 different types of dwarfs right? (yes i'm too lazy right now to check on bricklink )

Hey! I said that. I do not however, at all resemble the prominent remark.

I have 12 dwarves right now all from 3 dwarf mines... The only difficulty I see in army building with this years sets are the dwarves come with the same beard and torso (which looks like a crownie torso... someone else can confirm it?) in the troll ship and dwarf mine defender. They do atleast come with 2 different silver helms. I feel if I get a lot of these sets my army will look cloned. The beard after all is the most prominent feature on the dwarves. I hope if and when they release a dwarf impulse set it comes with the black beard which right now is the rarest of the beards to come out. The dwarf mine comes with 2 brown, 1 black, and 1 red. Of course the coup de gras would be battle packs in the future. But can we rely on them? hmm... Doh! I forgot about the brown beard you get in the advent calendar but a gold winged helm... not sure I want a large number of them... thanks to Count Blacktron for bringing that to my attention.

The mine also comes with one of each of the helms and an extra silver winged helm if you got sets last year in the USA. Does anyone know if that bonus helmet was in any sets this year or outside the USA? I like the round helms better as they look like more like standard dwarven armor. The winged helms look like helms for the more noble/elite of dwarves.

The chess set when it comes out will have 3 red, 3 black, 2 brown beards. It will also have 3 silver / brown normal helms and 2 gold winged helms. It also comes with plenty of weaponry and shields. However the chess set is an awefully expensive way to build armies!

As of now the best way to get a variety of dwarves is with the mine. Nice if you are also building an army of Orc/trolls. It comes with an abundance of weapons and atleast some shields for both sides of the battle. The mine defender is woefully short on weaponry and has no shields. The troll ship also looks low on gear but I am not sure about that just from the pictures. I gotta go shopping today and find out.

I did not get any extra helmet for the dwarves (Bought two weeks ago in Finland). Lucky you

The only "extra helmet" was from the crownie armour they are forging, which is part of the set and can't be considered extra.

I got one of these. I got mine on sale at a LEGO store for 49.99 I think. I'm not sure how much it was but it was a really good deal.

Ah, that set. For some reason I was thinking of one of the new dwarves with the new long beard piece. Thanks for enlightening me!

That is a good deal! I don't have one yet - hopefully I can get a good deal like that, too.

I just completed my 10176 special edition castle, I also have the Dwarves Mine and 1 Mine Defender, so that makes 6 dwarves if you count the one from the castle.

I bought some sets yesterday, and i now have 18 dwarfs. they're great

So I have 4 from Dwarves Mine and 3 from 10176 special edition castle and two Key Ring Dwarfs I prefer the black beard though.

Will be getting another with the castle advent calendar, you can always tell a lot about the future direction by the current part selection I can only wonder about what the jester will mean.
